Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton got to celebrate her birthday watching the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court and being trolled by Republicans.

The former first lady and secretary of state celebrated her 73rd birthday on Monday, the same day Barrett was confirmed by Republicans in a 52-48 Senate vote. And as Clinton had made it clear she agreed with Democrats who all voted against the nomination, Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee delivered a special birthday message.

Barrett was sworn in by Justice Clarence Thomas at a White House ceremony with President Trump later Monday as liberal America had a meltdown. No sooner was President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick confirmed than Democrats openly began plotting their revenge, calling for packing the high court and changing the systems of American government.

Earlier in the day, Clinton had tweeted out a photo of her younger self touting her own birthday along with her “one wish” regarding voting for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Clinton had made it more than clear where she stood on Barrett’s nomination.

And moments after the vote on Monday, Clinton took to Twitter again to call on Americans to vote out GOP senators.

“Senate Republicans just pushed through a Supreme Court justice who will help them take away Americans’ health care in the middle of a pandemic. For them, this is victory. Vote them out,” she tweeted.

Even her husband, former President Bill Clinton morphed his birthday message into a call to vote.

In the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives, the House Judiciary Committee Republicans posted a mocking tweet wishing Clinton a happy birthday. The GOP members of the House panel include Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the ranking Republican on the committee, as well as Reps. Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, Steve Chabot of Ohio, Florida’s Matt Gaetz, Georgia’s Doug Collins and Debbie Lesko of Arizona.

Naturally, Democrats and Clinton’s pearl-clutching fans condemned the GOP trolling, slamming the mocking tweet with no degree of self-awareness in countless profanity-filled comments and images.

But plenty of Twitter users helped Republicans in sending Clinton the proper birthday greetings.
