With less than three weeks to go before Election Day and Democratic nominee Joe Biden calling a lid for reporters before 10 a.m. on some days, the 77-year-old former vice president seems to understand that the liberal media is stumping on his behalf.

As the candidate retreats to his basement, the Biden campaign is also relying on the star power of liberal Hollywood for its final push to drag the big guy across the finish line.

President Donald Trump has acknowledged that his real opponent in this election is the corrupt media, but he may have been remiss not to name Hollywood.

The president tweeted last month: “The good news is that we are winning. Our real opponent is not the Democrats, or the dwindling number of Republicans that lost their way and got left behind, our primary opponent is the Fake News Media. In the history of our Country, they have never been so bad!”

Biden’s campaign has scheduled celebrity-filled events for nearly every day this week, The Hill reported.

There were three separate events on Tuesday alone, to include a roundtable with rabid Trump-hater and comedian George Lopez, a ‘Star Trek’ discussion with LeVar Burton, who starred in Next Generation, and a military service celebration with the iconic TV producer Norman Lear.

And that’s just a start – more from The Hill:

The following day, the cast of NBC’s “The West Wing” reunited for a virtual trivia night to benefit the Biden Victory Fund, the joint fundraising committee set up between the Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee. On Friday, another fundraising reunion is poised to take place: The original cast of Broadway’s “Hamilton” — including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Renée Elise Goldsberry, among others — are joining together for a virtual performance and Q&A.

On Friday, the Biden camp announced that NBA great Magic Johnson would be hitting the campaign trail over the weekend for the ex-VP, traveling to Detroit and Lansing, Mich. for a “roundtable conversation about voting with Black men” and a voter mobilization event. “Scandal” star Kerry Washington and actor Nnamdi Asomugha are also poised to head to North Carolina on Saturday with the Biden campaign to advocate for early voting.

Adrienne Elrod, the director of surrogate strategy, said the Biden campaign was “obviously ramping up” surrogate events with celebrities, influencers, high-profile individuals as they get closer to Election Day.

The online political news website detailed many of the celebrity endorsements that Biden has enjoyed, before stating the obvious:

A tsunami of celebrity support also doesn’t necessarily equate to votes. In 2016, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton counted a galaxy’s worth of stars — from George Clooney to Madonna to Beyonce and Jay-Z — among her fans.

Of course, it could be argued that all of Hollywood’s star power dims in comparison to the celebrity of Trump.

“Generally speaking, when it comes to celebrity endorsements, Donald Trump is the celebrity,” GOP strategist Ford O’Connell told The Hill.

“Hearing from Trump directly is what spurs Republicans to the voting booth — not celebrities,” O’Connell said.

Besides, just as millions of Americans have tuned out the liberal media, so too have they rejected the views of unhinged elitist celebrities like Alyssa Milano and Bette Midler.

Here’s a sampling of responses to the story from skeptical social media users:
