Former ESPN Radio sports commentator turned “Fox & Friends Weekend” host Will Cain triggered members of the left Thursday by offering a blunt assessment of the Democrat Party’s embrace of radicalism.

Speaking on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning, he specifically pointed to the Democrat Party’s embrace of the radical Black Lives Matter movement and its recent treatment of Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.

Undergirding his complaints about the Democrat Party was his belief that they’ve rejected the core ideas and processes that make this country great.

“What makes the United States great is its ideas, its founding ideas and processes. That’s more important than the outcomes in this country,” he said.

“We made this great play in 1776 by staying true to our ideals, staying true to our processes. It would result in long-term prosperity. But more importantly, it would protect us from a tyrant that would come along some day.”

But these ideas and processes are now being openly rejected by the Democrat Party, which has embraced political correctness (which is seen as being anti-free speech) and identity politics (which goes against the idea of a melting pot) while rejecting law & order.

Listen to Cain’s blunt assessment below:

“I want to you think about what the Democratic Party has embraced over the past couple of years. By embracing Black Lives Matter, they’ve rejected some of those ideals like individualism and merit, openly. Anybody that doubts that, look at what Black Lives Matter espouses,” he said.

Fact-check: TRUE.

An archived copy of Black Lives Matters’ official website shows it speaking negatively of the “Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”

And Cain’s remarks come only weeks after Women’s March co-founder Tamika Mallory, a BLM ally, smeared Kentucky’s first black attorney general, Daniel Cameron, as a “sell-out Negro” for seeking actual justice in the Breonna Taylor case versus mob justice.

The Women’s March is a demonstrably Democrat movement that was originally sponsored by the Democrat National Committee. It lost its sponsorship only after its history of antisemitism went viral. But even then, some liberals continued to defend it.

“What’s more, when we look at the rejection of concepts like due process, constitutionalism, we just got a three-day course in how the left finds their policies more important than constitutional procedure,” Cain continued.

“And when we see that court packing is yet another rejection of that process, we are rejecting — at least the Democrat Party is — not just out founding ideals, but our processes. And what comes next? Why is this so important?”

Because, he continued, the pernicious degradation of the country’s principles and the rise of illberalism are paving the way for a genuinely malicious figure to rise to power and then exploit these weaknesses in America to subjugate the masses:

“This sets us up for a tyrant to come along and take advantage of all of this rejection — rejection of our ideas, rejection of our processes, no protection when the tyrant comes.”

For whatever reason, his remarks went viral among the leftists on Twitter, all of whom reacted with rage over Cain daring to criticize BLM and the Democrat Party.

Look (*Language warning):

Not once did any of the unhinged critics explain what about his commentary makes it racist. Nor did they offer any legitimate rebuttals. All they had were ad-hominem attacks and mindless banter about deodorant, apparently.
