Joe Biden’s campaign earned scorching mockery on social media after posting a “doctored video” in an attempt to attack President Trump.
Following Tuesday night’s contentious debate between the Democratic presidential nominee and Trump, Biden’s campaign sparked renewed complaints that Democrats “can’t meme” after posting a cringing video meant to make the president look bad. It seems Biden’s team succeeded in making the Democrat look worse instead.
In a less-than 20-second altered clip from the first 2020 presidential debate, the scenes were accompanied by the nominees speaking over each other, and moderator Chris Wallace. Audio of a baby crying was added to the video and Trump’s face was covered by a crying emoji.
The clip, which ended with Biden’s rebuke of the president Tuesday, saying “Will you shut up man?” was captioned “Had enough?”
But many saw the attempt as a sign of desperation by the Biden camp, mocking the team for failing to come up with anything more effective, and even more mature.

The former vice president snapped at Trump at one point in the 90-minute verbal brawl, after he refused to answer a question about packing the Supreme Court if he wins the race in November. As Trump repeatedly pressed him to actually answer, Biden finally told the president to “shut up.”
It was one of many heated moments in the night which featured Biden, pretending to be the more civil candidate, calling Trump a “clown,” a “racist,” the “worst president…ever,” and telling him to “shut up” on live television while accusing him of being the one who was acting “so unpresidential.”
Fox Business’ Stuart Varney, among others, noted how many questions that were lobbed at him which Biden actually never answered.

Though Biden and his supporters touted the “shut up, man” moment as a show of the Democrat’s ability to stand up to Trump, many social media users pointed out how the outburst came as a result of Biden refusing to answer a question and being badgered by the president to respond.
The “will you shut up, man” moment I remember was Biden refusing to answer a direct question on whether he supports packing the supreme court. Trump started interrupting, pushing him to actually answer the question lol https://t.co/DcTd0X39bk

Meanwhile, the meme effort in general was slammed by Twitter users.
“Goddammit this is awful. At least Trump memes look like an effort was made,” one wrote.
“This is all his team has? Christ, the Left can’t meme,” another tweeted.
“Whoever heads his social media should be fired ASAP,” one tweet declared.

Manipulated media. Will Twitter flag this? I bet not.

If Trump did that it would appear as manipulated video and CNN would do a one hour piece on how Trump is using manipulation to make Biden look bad.
