MSNBC’s Chris Hayes continued the Democrat drumbeat accusing President Trump of plans to “steal the election” should he lose in November.

Hayes warned viewers on Wednesday that the president is “plotting” to stay in power, citing his “chilling” comments that proved what “the plain facts” have been indicating, as far as Democrats are concerned. The ominous warnings in Hayes’ monologue were countered with hope that anti-Trump voters will deliver a “resounding” defeat to the president in a few short weeks.

The narrative from Democrats for months has been pushing the unfounded idea that if Trump loses his reelection bid to Democratic nominee Joe Biden, he will not relinquish power peacefully and will have to be forcibly removed from office. The ridiculous premise has been repeated by the left with more frequency as Democrats from media talking heads to Biden and even failed nominee Hillary Clinton have echoed the warnings.

“We begin tonight with a chilling moment, I gotta say. I don’t know any other way to say it,” Hayes began on “All In with Chris Hayes” on Wednesday.

“The President of the United States threatening violence to stay in power. Sounds weird coming out of my mouth but that’s what happened,” he added.

Hayes claimed the president “declined” when asked to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses.

“We’re going to have to see what happens,” Trump responded to a reporter’s question at a White House news conference. “You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster.”

“You’ll have a very peaceful — there won’t be a transfer frankly,” he added. “There’ll be a continuation. The ballots are out of control, you know it, and you know, who knows it better than anybody else? The Democrats know it better than anybody else.”

Asked about Trump’s comment after arriving in Delaware later, Biden quipped, “What country are we in?”

“I’m being facetious. Look, he says the most irrational things. I don’t know what to say about it. But it doesn’t surprise me,” he added.

Hayes continued to address the topic in his monologue as a graphic appeared alongside him on the screen that declared, “TRUMP’S PLAN TO STEAL THE ELECTION.”

“Just to be clear, if you are talking to a person and you ask them to commit to behaving peacefully and they refuse, they’re threatening violence, right? What the president is doing here is the most explicit that he has been about his plans for this election. He’s plotting, in open, in public, repeatedly, a coup to steal the election and hold onto power,” Hayes said.

He admitted that “it all sounds crazy to say” but went on to claim that “those are the plain facts as assembled before us… in plain view.”

“Look, a few things can happen between now and November 3rd. I mean, the polls could all be wrong. It could turn out Donald Trump is just much more popular than appears to be right now, even with 200,000 plus Americans dead from a pandemic,” the MSNBC host continued.

“Or some event could happen that changes things dramatically and Donald Trump could just win, he could win outright, he could win the popular vote and the Electoral College in a clear and evident fashion,” he added, noting there is another possibility that “is much more likely.”

Hayes contended that if Democrats “fight” and come out to vote “in unprecedented numbers,” then Biden could get a sweeping victory.

“We also may land somewhere between those two ends where the margins are tight and the outcome is not obvious right away. And that’s what the President is very explicitly planning for, because those tight margins, that ambiguity sets in motion his plan to steal the election,” he claimed.

Hayes went on to argue that Republicans are making efforts all across the country to “make it harder for Democratic constituencies to vote” and that Trump has been attempting “to polarize views of mail-in versus in-person voting.”

He continued to build the case against Trump and lay out the steps that he will allegedly take to ensure election victory, even noting a so-called “red mirage” and other tactics such as using the courts to invalidate mail-in ballots.

“It is, frankly, a plan for an authoritarian power grab,” Hayes said.

But, he added to viewers, “before you get paralyzed by this nightmare scenario,” there is “an off-ramp here.”

“The remedy to avoid all this is just a historic mobilization of the country’s anti-Trump pro-democratic majority coming out to vote, delivering a resounding unquestionable defeat to the president and his agenda in order to save American self-governance,” he declared.

Twitter users reacted to Hayes and his “dangerous” rhetoric, giving him a reality check on the way.
