There may be no better sign of the panic on the left ahead of the upcoming election than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., desperately trying to encourage young progressive voters to support 77-year-old party nominee Joe Biden.
Steeped in an air of self-importance, the Bronx bartender shared a video telling these voters they have “a whole new world to build” and must vote for Biden so democracy — a progressive code word for mob rule — can “live another day.”
“November is about survival,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Voting for Joe Biden is not about whether you agree with him. It’s a vote to let our democracy live another day.
In sharing the video on Twitter, New York Democrat dictated to fellow progressives that “we’re NOT gonna … give up.”
“Our democracy is at a faint heartbeat; it was broken even before Trump. But so long as we can save lives, I believe we have an obligation to do so as we build a new world,” the freshman lawmaker said in the caption.
Here’s what we’re NOT gonna do: give up.
We don’t give up when people need us most. That’s not who we are.

“That’s what this is about,” AOC said in the video. “We need to act in solidarity and protection for the most vulnerable people in our society who’ve already experienced the violent repercussions of this administration.”
Odd how the left always anoints themselves saviors of some aggrieved demographic, that never seems to benefit from their efforts — as for “violent repercussions,” simply look to the latest Black Lives Matter riot.
Ocasio-Cortez’s appeal is largely for disaffected Bernie Bros., who are known to turn on and drop out when their candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders, inevitably exits the race.
These disenchanted left-wing voters overwhelmingly oppose capitalism and, like AOC, embrace democratic socialism.
“No one president is the answer,” she declared, in a call to “fight” back. “You are the answer. Mass movements are the answer.”
In a separate clip, Ocasio-Cortez warned about complacency.
“I’m sorry to tell you, you’re not going back to brunch,” she said. “We’re not going back to brunch.”
And after we work to command victory in November, I need folks to realize that there’s no going back to brunch.
We have a whole new world to build. We cannot accept going back to the way things were, & that includes the Dem party. We must deliver transformative, material change. pic.twitter.com/r7du2yOl2c

In responding to the death Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Saturday night, Ocasio-Cortez made a similar appeal in a series of tweets.
“This is the fight of and for our lives,” the Democrat tweeted.
You do not need to, nor should you, ignore your fears – there is plenty to be afraid of – but we have possibilities before us.
We can win, we can succeed, but we cannot do it alone. We will need the people.
We must get to work.
Everyone matters.
Everyone has something to give.— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) September 19, 2020
