Tucker Carlson: The most disturbing parts of the DNC was what you didn’t see

Tucker Carlson put a spotlight on the Democratic National Convention and pulled back the curtain on what went on during the hours before the media focused on the primetime lineup.

The Fox News host noted in a segment on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that the convention was not just two hours every night of Democrat establishment figures singing the praises of 2020 nominee Joe Biden. It was what went on during the day that Democrats did not want viewers to see that Carlson exposed.

“Platitudes heaped upon cliches smothered in a thick sauce of self-righteousness and stupidity,” Carlson described the nightly lineup. “No normal person could eat what the DNC is serving this week. ”

He noted how “shamelessly” Democrats lied during their speeches, with a goal of reaching “complete reality inversion.”

“You might not know this, but most of the actual convention events take place during daytime hours,” Carlson explained. “The networks don’t cover them. You have no idea they ever happen. There’s a reason for that, obviously, but what a loss for the viewing public.”

He shared examples of some of the eyebrow-raising moments that occurred outside of the evening showcase, beginning with an opening prayer by Pastor Frederick Haynes III of Texas.

“You had the nerve to build a wall while at the same time you have in the harbor there in New York a Statue of Liberty … Jesus will say, ‘America, if you don’t get your act together, you may well go to Hell,’” Haynes said in the clip.

Carlson also shared a clip of someone altering the Pledge of Allegiance, saying at the end, “with liberty and justice for all – some day.” In fact, during at least two other caucuses led by Democrat delegates, the Pledge was altered to leave out “under God.”

Other clips showed speakers parading out the same divisive rhetoric that Democrats have been spewing, from those advocating “racial justice” and socialism to others calling to defund the police and abolish prisons as well as do away with capitalism.

“Are you keeping track at home? If not, we’re at: erase American history, rewrite the Pledge of Allegiance, mock and degrade the national anthem, turn Christianity into a political weapon. They have been busy over there at the DNC,” the Fox News host said.

“But there’s more,” he added.

Carlson turned to an introduction of J Mai, a graduate assistant at Wake Forest University’s LGBT Center. The biography of Mai, according to Carlson, describes them as a “Black Vietnamese transgender non-binary gender-transcendent mermaid queen-king currently living out their ever-evolving truths in Winston-Salem.”

“Why can’t folks imagine a world without the cops, why can’t folks imagine a world without prisons, why can’t people expand their imaginations to include community care, to include an abolitionist future?” Mai said in the clip.

“I’m talking about for real-for real abolition, not just the watered-down DNC version of abolition. We’re talking about abolishing the police, we’re talking about abolishing ICE, we’re talking about abolishing prisons,” Mai added.

This clip and more proved that the radical ideologies are just “business as usual” for Democrats, the Fox News host contended. But they just don’t want mainstream voters seeing it in prime time when the goal is to make Biden seem like the ideal leader.

“We should note that, crazy as all of this was — and it was — none of it was too crazy for Joe Biden or Kamala Harris,” Carlson concluded. “Harris and Biden nodded along. It all seemed normal to them, because it is.”
