New Jersey’s Democrat Governor, Phil Murphy, is expected to sign a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to get professional and occupational licenses.
This could have a catastrophic impact on the blue state’s soaring unemployment rate because it would enable illegal aliens to compete with American citizens and legal residents for jobs in an already-shrinking employment market.
New Jersey’s Democrat-controlled State Senate passed the legislation last week. The bill would take effect immediately after Governor Murphy signs it.
Murphy has already signaled his support for the pro-illegal immigration bill.
Murphy’s rep says the governor “believes that immigrants are a critical part of the fabric of life in New Jersey and that they should not face unnecessary barriers as they seek to participate in our society and economy.”
Once again, Democrats are deliberately conflating LEGAL immigrants with illegal aliens.
The bill could make unemployment in New Jersey even worse because it would enable illegal aliens to become licensed accountants, architects, beauticians, court reporters, doctors, dentists, engineers, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and veterinarians.
New Jersey has suffered record unemployment amid the panic-induced shutdowns stemming from the media-stoked coronavirus hysteria.
FAIR (the Federation for American Immigration Reform), slammed the bill, saying it “takes jobs away from American citizens and legal immigrants.”
In a statement, FAIR said the New Jersey legislation incentivizes illegal immigration and would cause unemployment to skyrocket. Moreover, the bill violates longstanding federal law.
“Allowing those in the country illegally to get occupational or professional licenses takes jobs away from American citizens and legal immigrants.
Already there are more than 1.3 million unemployed individuals in New Jersey who are suffering as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns. Providing occupational or professional licenses to those in the country illegally incentivizes more illegal immigration.
Further, this legislation directly flies in the face of federal law. Under 8 U.S.C. § 1621, illegal aliens are precluded from receiving commercial and professional licenses. Illegal aliens have no legal right to remain in the United States and are prohibited from being employed.”

Illegal immigration is a flashpoint among black voters, which the Democrat Party is shamelessly pandering to because of the November election.
Rather than help them secure jobs, leftists are engaging in empty gestures, like painting “Black Lives Matter” street graffiti and chanting hollow mantras at riots.
In March, a black pastor who’s a lifelong Democrat asked DNC chairman Tom Perez whether the Party has veered so far left that it has alienated millions of black voters.
Pastor Chris Martin of Flint, Michigan asked: “Do I—as an African-American pastor, a lifelong Democrat—have a place in this Party? Or is it all about healthcare and [illegal] immigration?”

Pastor Martin echoed the sentiments of a black Trump supporter who eviscerated Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters, saying her pro-illegal immigration policies have destroyed the black community.
The woman called Waters a “black racist” whose rhetoric and actions have caused African-American citizens to lose jobs to illegal aliens.
The black Trump supporter said: “Maxine Waters destroyed the black community! She’s paid taxpayer money to discriminate against American citizens! She lied to the black community, saying she was going to bring us jobs. She gave those jobs to illegal criminals! We want her out! She’s been in office for too long! She’s already showing signs of dementia! She’s a hater!”
