The tactic applied to justify the actions taken against President Donald Trump and his supporters is now being applied in the Black Lives Matter chaos reigning on American streets today.

The left declared the opposition Nazis, before punching them in the face, literally and figuratively, because who would oppose punching a Nazi?

Instead, amid the racial tensions gripping the nation, being labeled a “racist” will do just fine.

The incident above took place over the weekend in St. Louis, where the statue of King Louis IX has fallen under the cross-hairs of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The city is named after the monarch, and the rage mob is demanding the statue be removed from public property because King Louis, who reigned in the 13th century, was “anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and an anti-black crusader.”

“He’s gonna come down,” Umar Lee, one of the protest organizers, according to St. Louis Today. “This guy right here represents hate and we’re trying to create a city of love. We’re trying to create a city where black lives matter. We’re trying to create a city where there is no antisemitism or Islamophobia … this is not a symbol of our city in 2020.”

Having already felled a statue of Christopher Columbus in St. Louis, the radical left is emboldened.

However, to Catholics, Louis IX is a saint who exemplifies holiness, and Catholics and other Christians gathered at the landmark Sunday to pray.

And thus, the battle lines were drawn:

Rev. Stephen Schumacher was present, and attempted to educate the crowd on the history behind the figure — the St. Louis Archdiocese said the city’s namesake is an “example of an imperfect man,” who did much to help the poor and sick.

The mob was not interested in being informed.

And shortly thereafter, violent clashes broke out, as seen in a series of photos from St. Louis Post-Dispatch photojournalist Robert Cohen.

In one photo, an elderly man is seen being punched in the face by a black man, while another protester holds him.

The black man seen above punching the elderly man is captured in the video below swinging at another Catholic protester.

Of course, when those being beaten are labeled as racists, white supremacists, the alt right and even the KKK, it becomes a lot more palatable to accept the violence.

As for the scene above, a different take was offered by Conor Martin, who was one of the Catholics in the crowd.

Explaining that they got the elderly man out of there, Martin said a friend arrived to bring him food and was attacked by the mob. He said his friend had a walking stick, which was taken and used to beat him.

After noting that police did not respond to their calls for help, Martin said that he intends to press charges on the attackers.

And on that note:
