‘Light that man on fire’: Man in MAGA hat, toting US flag is punished for existing in Seattle’s new CHOP zone

A Trump-supporter carrying a U.S. flag triggered leftists as he walked through Seattle’s Capitol Hill Organized Protest Zone.

Wearing a signature Trump “Make America Great” cap and carrying a large pole with the American flag, the man was repeatedly verbally attacked and had his property taken as radicals occupying the downtown area let him know he was not welcome. One set of whining women berated him for “traumatizing” them.

“Hey sir, this is a really traumatizing space for a lot of people and I don’t think that it’s necessary for you to be here,” one mask-wearing woman said.

“This is not a space for you…Your hat and flag are traumatic at this point,” she complained.

“What are you trying to gain here? Really nothing,” another chimed in.

“You’re looking at dead bodies and you’re wearing a hat that says you support the person who killed them,” the first “Karen” added as the man continued to ignore them. “Don’t look at them and don’t stand in this space! It’s not for you.”

“Someone got a lighter?” a third woman asked as she appeared to say she’d “light that man on fire.”

Several other videos posted by a Twitter account identified as “The Daily CHOP” showed what appeared to be the same man making his way through what was known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. In one video, the man’s flag was torn off the pole but then retrieved by other CHAZ occupiers.

As he attempted to walk away, some in the crowd can be heard saying, “let him walk.” One angry man inexplicably yelled at the flag-carrier to get out of the U.S. Once confronted by others, he justified his rant saying, “he’s clearly suicidal” for walking through the area.

Soon, another person came up and grabbed the man’s MAGA hat but he continued walking, being greeted with boos as he went.

“Ignore this guy, y’all. This isn’t why we’re here,” someone yelled.

Eventually, the “peaceful” occupiers of CHOP surrounded the man as seen in another video. Again, an attempt is made to grab the flag but the struggle was peppered with disagreements about the negative attention and bad optics of the attack.

In another tense moment, the MAGA hat wearing man was surrounded and oddly chose to sell the flag in order to get out of the melee.

While the occupiers insist that their taking over the six city blocks in downtown Seattle is a peaceful protest over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, and city officials like the mayor have likened it to the hippie Summer of Love, continuing reports and footage from within show a different – and often divided – story.

“Every day that I show up here, I’m not here to peacefully protest,” organizer Jaiden Grayson told documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz, Fox News reported.

“I’m here to disrupt until my demands are met,” Grayson continued. “You cannot rebuild until you break it all the way down.”
