Former Vice President Joe Biden is “absolutely convinced” that the U.S. military will have to step in and physically remove President Donald Trump from the White House if he loses the election in November.
The Democratic presidential nominee shared his inane take on Trump peacefully giving up power with late-night television host Trevor Noah of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” Wednesday, after claiming that the president is “going to try and steal this election.” U.S. Rep. Cedric Richmond thought Biden was “exactly correct” and told CNN he would like to be on that “escort committee.”
.@RepRichmond says he agrees with Joe Biden’s claim that the military will escort President Trump out of the White House if he loses the election and refuses to leave.
“I do want to be on the escort committee to make sure that [Trump] leaves the White House,” he says. pic.twitter.com/bZrEhA6NK1— New Day (@NewDay) June 11, 2020
“One of the major things you would have to do in order to create all this change is win an election,” Noah said in the remote interview, claiming that the country is expecting ” a really dirty election” and that Trump will likely “punch below the belt.”
“Have you ever considered what would happen if the election results came out as you being the winner and Trump refused to leave?” Noah asked.
“Yes I have,” Biden replied.
He went on, after a cut in the video interview, to praise retired military leaders who have recently spoken out against Trump, including former Defense Secretary James Mattis and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. The military critics have condemned the president’s remarks about deploying U.S. military personnel to deal with violent riots that have erupted around the nation in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis.
Biden’s eyebrow-raising comments about being proud of retired generals “ripping the skin off of Trump” went unchallenged by Noah.
We need to hear unedited version of Joe Biden discussing hypothetical about a defeated President Trump refusing to leave White House. The former vice president noted that there have been “so many rank-and-file military personnel saying, ‘Whoa, we’re not a military state. This is not who we are.'”
“I promise you, I am absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” he told Noah, ignoring the fact that he and other Democrats have been bashing Trump for wanting to use the military to restore peace.
A letter supporting a Biden presidency has been signed by 55 retired military leaders, though the president has dismissed their criticism, calling out Mattis in a tweet last week as “the world’s most overrated General.”
Biden, who apparently had another memory lapse in forgetting that it was Democrats who refused to accept the results of the 2016 election, promoted himself as a great alternative to Trump in November by pointing out his own gaffes and missteps.

“The good news is the bad news. The good news is the people know me, and they know me warts and all. The bad news is they know me. So he’s not going to be able to make things stick that aren’t already real weaknesses on my part,” he said of Trump, adding “and I have weaknesses for real.”
“So I sometimes make political gaffes. You know the expression: A gaffe in Washington is a politician telling the truth,” he said. “I’m going to make mistakes. I’m going to make serious mistakes. But the point is I take responsibility for the mistakes.”
But while Biden may be riding on the confidence boost of thinking the last few days of unrest across the nation have played out against Trump and in his favor, his lack of self-awareness in bashing the president is repeatedly on display. While he touted military intervention if Trump loses the election, he displayed his own lack of tolerance during a recent NAACP virtual town hall.
The Democrat lost his temper when the host noted that young people do not support him.
“No! There’s no evidence! That’s not true!” Biden yelled. “Show me a poll that says that!”

Twitter users slammed the Democrat for his remarks about Trump refusing to leave the White House.
But the Left hates the military. Yet, now would call on it to help it regain power?

The phrase ‘without evidence’ has become common in reporting on Trump. It should certainly be applied to Biden’s speculation that a defeated Trump would refuse to leave the White House and the military would then remove him. https://t.co/cXxoY6OgpA https://t.co/fbatl5hrO3

@JKSuicideWatch – Biden ‘convinced’ US military would intervene if Trump refused to leave White House….Can’t use the MILITARY to restore PEACE but you can you use the MILITARY to remove a president. If anything, Biden learned DICTATORSHIP from The Obama’s..LOL…”GET REAL” MAGA

.@JoeBiden, the head of the party who used FBI to spy on @realDonaldTrump‘s campaign, then created a Russian collusion conspiracy in hopes of impeaching him, says Trump will try to “steal” the election.
But don’t worry. The military will remove him https://t.co/iVM34zrxy1
