With American cities being overrun by anarchists and other violent elements, and liberal politicians all but handcuffing law enforcement’s response with progressive policing tactics, the Second Amendment has never been more important.

American business owners are being forced to protect their properties from violent thugs as police are either preoccupied or limited in how and when they can respond.

One such owner, Jake Gardner, the white owner of The Hive bar in Omaha, Neb., will not face charges after shooting and killing a 22-year-old black man in self-defense, the Scottsbluff Star Herald reported.

The incident took place Saturday night during “the most chaotic of three nights of protests and vandalism in Omaha,” the newspaper noted.

A video of the shooting shows Gardner being aggressively confronted by a group and he is either shoved to the ground or falls. As several people gather around him, shots suddenly ring out.

Before the shots were fired, the person recording the incident is heard saying, “This n**** got a gun! … It’s not worth it, n****!”

According to a law enforcement official, Gardner was standing outside his downtown bar and urged the mob to move along, the Star Herald reported.

The source said the first two shots were warning shots, but after James Scurlock got Gardner in a choke-hold, the bar owner fired again striking his assailant with a fatal shot to the neck.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine announced on Monday that Gardner will not face charges, stating that his actions were in self defense.

In post-Obama America, where emotions rule the day and truth has no place, there was a backlash against the business owner forced to protect his property and his life.

There were unsubstantiated claims that Gardner uttered a racial slur — a claim that even one of the protesters disputed.

The left-wing media perpetuated these claims, as did gun control advocate Shannon Watts.

The result was a whipped up mob attacking Gardner online, to include threats to burn his business “to the f**king ground.”

With business owners who tried to take a stand without being armed being severely beaten by a vicious criminal element, a scene in Cleveland made the rounds Tuesday,

An Italian bakery forced to fend for itself as chaos and mayhem rained down outside its doors managed to keep the violent mob at bay with a few well armed sentries.

The family-owned bakery Corbo’s had three heavily armed men at the entrance of the business as rioters smashed windows right next door.

Upon encountering the three men who meant business, the mob quickly lost its sweet tooth, slinking away to wreak havoc elsewhere.

There was also an incident in Philadelphia where a gun store owner standing guard in his shop after an earlier attempted break in shot and killed one of several looters who had broken in.

The gun store owner was cooperating with police and taken in for questioning — no charges have been filed as of this time.
