Yes, God has a sense of humor and he knows how to use it.

Iowa Democrats have played the “straight man” in the latest slapstick comedy of errors that perfectly defines what it means to be politically liberal today.

Of course, it has been an embarrassing struggle for those wacky progressives from the Hawkeye state to count their caucus votes and declare a winner over the course of the last week. The latest reports say that Pete Buttigieg is going to take away the most delegates from the fiasco, but a recanvass effort could still change that.

Whatever.

For some, the most memorable news out of Iowa on Monday was a righteous gag that was heaven-sent. As Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Troy Price was attempting to answer reporters’ questions, the party’s podium sign crashed to the floor, stopping the befuddled official in mid-sentence.

Watch …

To be clear, after a series of political disasters last week, Democrat voters ought to be fully aware by now that they are on the wrong side of destiny. There is nothing righteous about the slow-motion train wreck their political party is experiencing these days, and if there is anybody left over there in Resistanceville who can connect the dots, they should be seeking their redemption in the camp where productive Americans are busy making the nation great again.

The week from hell for Democrats started with the Iowa caucus clown show, a disaster attributed to a faulty vote-counting app developed by a company connected to Buttigieg. That entertaining implosion started on Monday.

Tuesday, things really started to go sideways for the left when President Trump delivered a rousing State of the Union speech that flaunted dramatic economic successes, the country’s rejuvenated military, and inspiring American values and liberties that have found security and new life under the Trump administration.

The disgusting, disrespectful behaviors by Democrat lawmakers were on camera for all the nation to see during the president’s address, capped off by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s childish, possibly illegal, tantrum in full view of everyone in which she tore up his speech. That night alone may have been the most pivotal development of the election year, as many Democrat voters afterward said they were done with the party.

But then there was Wednesday–a day of historic significance. The three-year effort by Dems to remove President Trump from office was squashed and swept away, as he was acquitted by the U.S. Senate and the grandstanding coup plotters were left holding a bag of empty, ill-conceived threats and transparent lies.

On Friday, a purge of leftist partisans from the White House and the State Department was begun, to include the removal of Alexander and Yevgeny Vindman and Gordon Sondland from their posts.

It was a tough week for the party of deception and corruption, and yes, it was worth a few laughs for conservatives who have had to watch and put up with the “malarkey” for far longer than should have been necessary.

That said, things may actually get worse for Democrats going forward. This week began with Attorney General Barr announcing that the DOJ is reviewing Ukraine-Bidens information from Rudy Giuliani.

A plot in which the hunters become the hunted always makes for great drama, but given past performance, it is assured that there will be plenty of comedic relief ahead.
