Thousands of dangerous thugs will be back on the streets soon, thanks to New York City’s “bail reform” legislation that requires arraignment judges to set free suspects in non-sexual attacks that don’t cause physical injury — even in hate-crime assaults.
That’s what happened to Tiffany Harris, who confessed to punching three Orthodox Jewish women in Brooklyn, New York, yesterday morning (Dec. 28).
Brooklyn is the home of noted anti-Semite Linda Sarsour, a militant Muslim activist. Some 561,000 Jews live in Brooklyn, which is also home to 100 mosques.
Recently, there has been a disturbing spike in violent attacks on Jews in Brooklyn and surrounding NYC neighborhoods.

Tiffany Harris was released with no bail, despite admitting that she hit the three Jewish women while yelling “F-U, Jews!”
According to the criminal complaint, Harris — who’s black — confessed to police: “Yes, I slapped them. I cursed them out. I said ‘F-U, Jews!”
Similarly, most of the suspects arrested in the eight separate anti-Semitic attacks last week were released without posting bail, thanks to NYC’s “bail reform” legislation.
Prosecutors didn’t even bother to request bail because that would’ve been a waste of time under New York City’s new “bail reform” legislation (which takes effect on Jan. 1, 2020).
Last month, New York City police commissioner James O’Neill resigned in protest of the bail reform bill, saying it would release thousands of dangerous inmates back on the streets.

The law was pushed by New York State’s left-wing Governor Andrew Cuomo, the big brother of CNN’s “Fredo” Chris Cuomo. However, Democrats like NYC’s anti-police Mayor Bill de Blasio wholeheartedly support laws that allow criminals back on the streets.
“The de Blasio administration has made it clear that we all need to get into compliance with bail reform now,” a law enforcement source told the New York Post. “If prosecutors had asked for bail, Corrections would release them immediately [anyway].”
Narcotics prosecutor Bridget Brennan said judges and law enforcement are outraged by this new law. “Judges are very anguished about this,” Brennan said. “They’re very concerned the defendants not only will not return to court — but that the defendants pose a public safety risk.”
Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Laura Johnson invoked the bail reform legislation when ordering Tiffany Harris’ release. “I’m releasing her on consent, and also because it will be required under the statute in just a few days,” the judge said.
The judge issued a protective order for the three Jewish victims and set a court date of Jan. 10. However, Harris has a history of not showing up for court hearings.
Dov Hikind, the founder of Americans Against Anti-Semitism, expressed disgust that New York City is doing nothing to prevent violent attacks on Jews.
“You have to beat the hell out of somebody — or murder them — for there to be any consequences. Otherwise, you are set free,” said Hikind, a former Democratic assemblyman.
Despite this, the Jewish community remains loyal Democratic voters. Why?
The bail reform law is just another in a long series of actions that Democrats like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Governor Andrew Cuomo, and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio have championed while promoting the interests of criminals at the expense of law-abiding taxpayers.
Over the summer, there were a series of violent attacks on NYC police officers that resulted in no consequences for the assailants.
A rep with the Police Benevolent Association of New York blamed the escalating violence against cops on Democrats’ anti-police rhetoric.
PBA president Patrick Lynch said: “Our anti-cop lawmakers have gotten their wish: the NYPD is now frozen…[The water attacks are] the end result of the torrent of bad policies and anti-police rhetoric.”
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s latest pro-felon initiative will give criminals released from jail the following, courtesy of taxpayers:
- Prepaid cell phones
- Unlimited free transit passes
- Swag bags to carry their belongings
- Two $25 debit cards.
