Tucker breaks down everything: No one is above the law, except Democrats

Tucker Carlson blasted Democrats for their hypocrisy in attacking President Donald Trump for the very things they are guilty of themselves.

The Fox News host called out the left during his monologue on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday, reacting to House Democrats announcing articles of impeachment against the president earlier.

“No one is above the law, explain the very same people who spent all day making excuses for illegitimate government spying on American citizens,” Carlson said, mocking remarks from Democrats as he highlighted a video montage of the same refrain by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., House Intelligence Committee member Peter Welch, D-Vt., and Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, among others.

“It’s pretty simple — you don’t need a law degree to understand it: Nobody is above the law, nobody,” Carlson said. “Except for the more than 20 million illegal aliens who they tell us have every right to be here ignoring our laws — and ‘shut up, racist if you disagree’ — and the so-called homeless shooting up and living full-time on the sidewalks. The law does not apply to them or to subway jumpers in New York, or Hunter Biden.”

“But other than that, absolutely nobody is above the law, meaning Trump. And that is why they are impeaching him,” he added.

Carlson called out Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, “a professional Wall Street shill who lies for a living,” for claiming that some Republicans push “conspiracy theories” and for condemning Fox News in what Carlson called a “hot blast of irony.”

“The president conjures fictions, buys into baseless conspiracy theories told by known liars on Fox News or somewhere else,” the New York Democrat said in a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday, targeting “certain members of the Grand Old Party” who formed “their own conspiracy caucus” and listen to “wild-eyed, crazy” conspiracy theorists who appear on Fox News.

“What the left accuses you of doing is precisely what they are doing themselves,” Carlson contended.

“They accuse you of fostering racism, pushing conspiracy theories, [and] lying to the American people. Of course, those are the three main things they are doing, and impeachment proves the point once more,” he explained.

He pointed to the irony of Democrats claiming abuse of power by Trump while refusing to see any “meddling” occurred when the son of 2020 hopeful Joe Biden landed a job at a Ukrainian natural gas company while his father was vice president.

“House Democrats are arguing here that there was no meddling in American politics when a Ukrainian energy company hired the otherwise-unemployable son of a sitting vice president at an exorbitant rate for no work at the very moment his father was policing ‘anticorruption efforts’ in their country,” Carlson said. “There is nothing political about that. If you think otherwise, you believe in a conspiracy theory – a debunked conspiracy theory.”

Meanwhile, Democrats claim Trump abused his presidential power and committed impeachable acts by “simply asking about” Biden.

Carlson went on to note other instances of what the Democrats refuse to see as an abuse of power by their own, citing examples involving former President Obama who ordered the overseas execution by drone – “without a trial” – of Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen.

“Or when [Obama] had the FBI investigate a rival presidential campaign based an obviously fraudulent dossier of opposition research written by a foreigner using intel from the Russian government,” Carlson added. “That was not an abuse of power — you’re crazy. What, do you work for Fox News or something?”

He went on to note several other examples of what could be seen as an overreach of power but that have never even caused Democrats to blink, let alone launch articles of impeachment.

“Come on, none of this is about high crimes or misdemeanors and we are not trying to make that case. Why is this happening?” Carlson asked.

The Fox News host noted that Democrats still “haven’t accepted the defeat of 2016,” and believe impeachment “will nullify that shocking loss like it never happened.”

“But the other reason is looking to the future,” Carlson continued, contending that some Democrats think impeaching Trump will help them in the 2020 elections. But, according to recent polls, Trump may be benefiting from the impeachment frenzy against him even as Democrats continue to ignore the sentiments of voters as they plow ahead on their self-imposed mission.

“Every day that the Democrats continue to focus all of their energy and all of our attention here in the media on impeachment, they’re also sending a signal to voters that’s pretty clear, and it’s ‘we don’t care what you think.'”
