Hunter Biden, 49, has been accused of smoking crack while on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural-gas company.
A Page Six report alleges that Biden spent thousands of dollars in the D.C. strip club Archibald’s and was even approached about possibly smoking crack in the VIP room. Biden has admitted past struggles with addiction and has been in rehab multiple times.
Archibald’s is located about three blocks from the White House and Page Six reports that multiple workers there identified Biden as a regular guest from last year, which is when he was still working on the board of Burisma — he left that lucrative ($50,000 a month) position earlier this year.
Security worker Ranko Petrovic told Page Six that Biden was a regular and would frequently drink at the club, but he was not a problematic customer. Former Archibald’s managing partner James Ritter, however, said the son of the former vice president had to be spoken to on one occasion late last year when he was suspected of smoking crack in the club’s VIP room.
“There was a smell of burning Styrofoam in the VIP room. We told him nothing illegal can go on here,” Ritter said. “We didn’t see anything illegal. After he was spoken to, the smell stopped.”
“VIP employees suspected it was crack,” he added.
The new report also alleges Biden dropped “thousands” in the club and often paid with credit cards that didn’t even have his name on them. Though that goes against club policy, the establishment apparently made an exception for Biden.
“Whenever he was in town he came in for two days in a row, disappeared and came back a month later,” Ritter said about Biden’s attendance at the club.
Hunter Biden cannot seem to escape controversy. Besides his stint with Burisma being at the center of accusations that his father engaged in quid pro quo as vice president, Biden has also found his personal life seeping into news headlines.
A paternity suit against Biden recently found that he was the father of a lovechild out in Arkansas. Previous reports had stated Biden completely denied being the father or having even been with the woman behind the suit.
Biden was in a relationship with his late brother’s wife, Hallie which reportedly ended recently.
In an interview with ABC last month, Biden said he is in a better place than ever in life.
Though he said he’d “done estimable things and things I regret,” he said he believed he was now in “probably the best place I’ve ever been in my life.”
Biden got remarried in May to Melissa Cohen, 33, after a “whirlwind, six-day romance,” according to Page Six.
Besides his controversial work with Burisma, Biden has also been accused of leveraging his father’s position to get lucrative positions with Chinese and credit card companies.
House Dems are currently alleging President Donald Trump himself engaged in quid pro quo by withholding aid from Ukraine in exchange for an investigation into Joe and Hunter Biden. The aid was eventually released and no investigation was launched.
