President Donald Trump suspects that former President Barack Hussein Obama’s reticence regarding former Vice President Joe Biden’s alleged corruption in Ukraine and China may be purposeful.

“I think he’s hiding — I think he knows all about it,” the president theorized during a phone interview with Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro that aired on Saturday evening.

Obama has been eerily silent about Biden even on Twitter, where he last posted a tweet referencing his former partner in crime nearly a full year ago:

This despite a growing body of credible allegations against the former VP and his son Hunter, the latter of whom allegedly exploited his father’s political connections in 2013 to create an investment firm in China involving the government-controlled Bank of China, and again exploited his father’s political connections in 2014 to score a high-paying gig in 2014 with Burisma, a corruption-linked gas company in Ukraine.

Speaking earlier last week with FNC host Sean Hannity, the president’s son Eric Trump expressed the same concerns about Obama’s sudden verbal shyness and demanded that congressional Democrats subpoena him instead of harassing his father’s administration officials.

“I want to see them put up Obama. Where is Obama?” Eric said. “He’s the only guy who’s hiding. I mean, Joe Biden was his vice president. Where is Obama? What does he think about this rampant corruption?”

“What does he think about the fact that Joe Biden and his son were cashing in on the U.S. to line their own pockets? I mean, where is he on this? What’s his opinion on this whole nonsense?” he added.

“If I took a billion and a half dollars from China, or if I took fifty thousand dollars a month from a Ukrainian oil company, people’s heads would explode, the media’s heads would explode, the Democrats’ heads would explode,” Eric continued.

Yet instead of investigating Biden and his son for their alleged corruption, congressional Democrats have been running an impeachment inquiry against the president for having had the temerity to ask Ukraine and China to conduct their own investigations into the Bidens.

But the question still remains: what did Obama himself know? Judging by the words spoken by Biden’s own deputy campaign manager, Kate Bedingfield, he certainly knew more about Hunter’s actions in Ukraine than he’s let on.

Asked specifically about Hunter’s former role on Burisma’s board, Bedingfield told an MSNBC anchor earlier this month that “in 2014, the White House cleared Hunter Biden serving on that board.”

This means the Obama White House was fully aware that the then-VP’s son was earning money working for a major company in Ukraine.

Note also that 2014 was the same year that the elder Biden allegedly threatened to revoke $1 billion in aid unless the Ukrainian government fired a top prosecutor who at the time had reportedly been busy investigating Burisma, i.e., the firm where his own son worked.

The fact that Obama allowed such scandalous behavior to occur raises obvious questions, as noted by opposition researcher and political consultant Peter Schweizer.

Speaking on FNC earlier this month, he was asked by host Bret Baier, “How is it possible that the Obama administration did not have a problem with this?”

“Again, we don’t know,” Schweizer replied. “We do know that questions were raised about the Ukraine deal with Burisma almost immediately. But apparently, [Hunter Biden] was allowed to continue to do it. So they were certainly aware of that one.”

“I can’t understand for the life of me why they did not tell the vice president, ‘Your son needs to stop doing this because it just looks so bad,'” he added.

According to Scheizer, however, it appears neither Obama nor “anybody” else knew about Hunter’s actions in China.

“The China deal, I don’t think anybody was aware of. We uncovered it by going through Chinese corporate records. It had not been previously reported,” he said.

Dovetailing back to the elder Biden threatening the Ukrainian government, he himself has admitted that Obama had approved the threat.

“They were walking out to a press conference,” the former VP can be seen clearly saying in a video of him speaking at a Council on Foreign Relations meeting last year.

He’d been recalling how exactly the threat had played out.

“I said, ‘nah, … we’re not going to give you the billion dollars,'” he continued. “They said, ‘You have no authority. You’re not the president — the president said’ … I said, ‘Call him.’ I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars.’”

“I said, you’re not getting the billion … I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b****. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time,” Biden added.

If the $1 billion had been part of a quid pro quo, as the president suspects is the case, then it’s one that Obama had clearly known about AND approved.
