The anti-Trump fringe right is chomping at the bit for Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, to challenge President Donald Trump in the GOP primary, praying that he may have the needed star power to outshine the president.
Never mind that Romney didn’t show much fire in the belly when it came to taking on Barack Obama, and Trump punches much harder than the former president ever did.
Leading the Romney 2020 parade is Anthony Scaramucci, the former Trump White House official who didn’t last two weeks in his role. Having come to the realization that being virulently anti-Trump feeds his craving for attention by assuring regular appearances on CNN and MSNBC, Scaramucci went over to the dark side.
And he Twitter over the weekend with a few T-shirt ideas which don’t appear to be all that well thought out.
“You may be proud of your “Where’s Hunter?” T-shirt…but we’re really proud of ours…You see, we know where Mitt is…he’s listening, he’s hearing, he’s seeing, he’s reading and he’s coming…,” Scaramucci tweeted.
The T-shirt designs included one that read: “Mitt Happens.”

That’s a lot of effort considering Romney has not thrown his hat in the ring and isn’t likely to do so, even though Republican donors reportedly are encouraging him to get in.
While he has not hesitated to criticize Trump, the freshman senator has gone so far as to dispel any speculation that he would challenge Trump in 2020.
“There’s no circumstance I can conceive of that would have me running for national office again,” Romney said last week at a Salt Lake City event. “I’ve tried that twice. Twice is enough, all right, so I’m not doing that again.”
Either way, social media users were game for a little fun since Scaramucci served up such a fat, lazy softball.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
OMG….really? Mitt Happens? ??? Anthony, you are such a loser. https://t.co/h7Gb49SHhZ

You‘re an imbecile.
Romney doesn’t have a chance in hell of beating out Trump.

When you come up with one that says, “I gave Barry a pass but I’m coming after the Donald”— let me know.
