Stacey Dash fights back: Husband conned police, faked injuries, she says

Arrested after an alleged altercation with husband Jeffrey Marty, “Clueless” star and former Fox News contributor Stacey Dash was arrested on domestic battery charges.

But now the outspoken conservative actress is pushing back on that narrative.

The altercation took place at an apartment in New Port Richey, Florida, with Dash allegedly slapping and punching her husband in the face after a verbal altercation, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

“The victim sustained red scratch marks to his left upper arm from being pushed,” the arrest report stated.

But Dash claimed in the 911 call that her husband, an attorney, and his three children conspired to set her up to be arrested to cover up his alleged brutality, TMZ reported.

The entertainment news and gossip site obtained a recording of Dash calling 911 on Sunday around 7:45 p.m., claiming her husband put her in a chokehold.

Dash told the 911 dispatcher that Marty coached his 15, 14 and 10-year-old kids on what to tell the police. She also told accused her husband of faking his injuries, claiming he was taking photos of scratches on his arms that she didn’t inflict, TMZ reported.

The 52-year-old actress called Marty’s kids from another marriage “awful children,” telling the dispatcher that they call her “bitch.”

Dash wed the former criminal defense attorney, in April 2018. The couple reportedly only knew each other for 10 days before tying the knot.

Page Six reported that their marriage was a “secret” at the time, occurring days after Dash withdrew from her campaign for Congress in California.

More on Marty from Page Six:

“The groom, lawyer Jeffrey Marty, is best known as the creator of the fake Rep. Steven Smith of Georgia, the first “congressman” to endorse Donald Trump and a tea party gadfly who generates outrage in the Twitterverse, despite constant reminders that he is fictitious.”

This is her fourth marriage. She has two children of her own, one with an ex-husband and one with an ex-boyfriend.

The couple apparently have a long-distance relationship with Dash in Los Angeles, as the local ABC affiliate reported that she told authorities she does not live in the Pasco apartment and had to take a flight back to L.A.

Representatives for Dash released a statement on Monday saying that Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the actress “as a formality,” adding that her husband did not press charges and that no further legal action is pending, Us Magazine reported.

“The marital dispute, while personal and unfortunate, has since been blown out of proportion,” the release said. “Ms. Dash is a domestic abuse survivor from a previous relationship and has championed for other abuse victims to speak up. The untruthfulness being reported saddens Ms. Dash and her family — no further comments will be made and we ask that Ms. Dash and her family’s privacy will be respected.”
