First daughter Ivanka Trump championed women’s economic empowerment in New York last week while her dad, President Donald Trump, spoke before the United Nations.

Ivanka, an adviser to the president, spoke at an event for the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (WGDP) initiative. The group’s goal is to advance women’s economic empowerment, especially in third-world countries where women are oppressed.

“We’re leveraging our collective efforts through this initiative to change in countries where there’s not a level playing field,” Ivanka said. “I hope that on these visits I also generate goodwill for the United States that supports these programs.”

In her position as an adviser to the president, Ivanka has often played the role of top diplomat.

Ivanka’s soft-spoken personality and model good looks makes her a frequent target for mean-spirited attacks by leftists and the anti-Trump media. However, she ignores the haters and continues to promote causes that she thinks are important.

One virulent hater is Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In July, the former bartender attacked Ivanka Trump as unqualified for her White House job.

The controversy erupted after AOC derisively tweeted that Ivanka should not have been at the G20 Summit because she’s too stupid and unqualified to be there.

AOC quipped: “It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification. It hurts our diplomatic standing when the president phones it in and the world moves on. The U.S. needs our president working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.”

It’s ironic that Ocasio-Cortez is worried about America’s “standing” in the world when she recently declared that planting cauliflower is racist.

Like Ivanka, first lady Melania Trump was also busy during United Nations week.

As BizPac Review reported, Melania rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange just hours before President Trump spoke before the U.N. General Assembly.

After delivering a forceful speech at the United Nations, President Trump hilariously mocked CNN’s opinion host Chris Cuomo as “Fredo” during a press briefing.

When a reporter asked how he feels about the way his lawyer Rudy Giuliani has been handling the “Ukraine situation,” Trump said he’s very happy with how Giuliani slam-dunked Fredo Cuomo during a recent CNN interview.

“I watched him the other night,” Trump told reporters. “I don’t watch CNN because it’s fake news, but I watched Rudy take apart Fredo. Fredo’s performance was incompetent. Rudy took him apart.”

President Trump continued: “The press doesn’t give [Giuliani] credit because they take little, tiny snippets … like if he mispronounces a word, they’ll show that. They won’t show the whole [segment]. Rudy Giuliani took Fredo to the cleaners. It’s the first time I’ve watched CNN in a long time. I hate to watch it, because it’s so fake.”
