Newsmax TV host Wayne Allyn Root sparked a firestorm of criticism from the left after he praised President Donald Trump as the greatest president for Jews and Israel “in the history of the world.”
Root earned a shout-out of thanks from Trump, but came under immediate backlash from liberals following remarks he made declaring that Jews in Israel love Trump like he is the “King of Israel.”

“I happen to be Jewish by birth and 75 percent of all Jews vote Democrat, and they don’t like Trump,” Root said to a listener who called in to “The Wayne Allyn Root Show” on Tuesday.
“This is the greatest president for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world. Not just in America, Trump is the best president for Israel in the history of the world. And the Jewish people love him like he is the King of Israel. They love him like he is the second coming of God,” the conservative author and radio host added.
“In America, American Jews don’t like him,” he continued. “They don’t even know what they’re doing or saying anymore. It makes no sense. But that’s okay. He keeps doing what he’s doing. He’s good for all of us. Good for Jews, good for blacks, good for gays.”
“He is good for everyone in America who wants a job,” Root, who was the 2008 vice presidential nominee for the Libertarian Party, concluded.
Trump publicly thanked Root in a series of tweets on Wednesday.
“Thank you to Wayne Allyn Root for the very nice words,” he wrote. “Wow!”

Root, in turn, thanked the president and then addressed the backlash from liberals who attacked him with “lies and slander.”

Root shared his official response to the president on Twitter as well.

“I told truth: I love Israel. Trump loves Israel. Israelis love Trump. Those are 3 facts. How can that cause a firestorm? Because liberals/socialists who hate USA & Israel fear the truth more than anything else. Especially coming from mouth of Columbia U-educated Jewish Republican,” Root tweeted, adding that liberals “are scared to death.”

Root also noted that, despite all the attention heaped on him because of his comments and Trump’s response, he was not invited on any of the liberal media outlets to discuss or debate his views.

Jewish Democrats criticized Trump after comments he made at the White House on Tuesday contending that Jews who supported Democrats showed “a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”
But the president doubled down on Wednesday.
“In my opinion, you vote for a Democrat, you’re being very disloyal to Jewish people and you’re being very disloyal to Israel,” he said. “And only weak people would say anything other than that.”

Root addressed the backlash to his and Trump’s comments on his show Wednesday, urging American Jews to change their views and their traditional support of the Democratic Party.
After all the left’s uproar, Root gave them another dig as he shared that Trump had tweeted him again on Wednesday.
