Children in the predominantly-black district of Harlem, New York could not attend summer camp this year because the Democratic lawmakers who were elected to represent them were too busy fighting for free healthcare and amnesty for illegal aliens while ignoring the needs of their constituents.
A summer camp in East Harlem had to be shut down last week by Trump-appointed HUD administrator Lynne Patton because the facility was overrun by rats, roaches, and maggots.
“When we walked in on Monday, I was like, ‘Oh my God, it just smells really bad in here,'” center director Ashia Broussard told WNBC. “Then I started to feel nauseous, and then I just started throwing up.”
Rotting rat corpses fell from the dilapidated drop ceiling, while maggots and roaches infested the NYCHA community center. The NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority) was created to provide housing for low-income residents across the five boroughs of New York.
Unfortunately, the community center has fallen in ruin following years of neglect in New York, a Democratic-run city. Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is in Iowa this summer, running to be US president even though he’s polling at 0%.
Lynne Patton, a HUD administrator, torched New York lawmakers like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, who’s so busy promoting herself and her socialist agenda to benefit illegal aliens that she ignores longstanding problems in own district.
“Americans are sick and tired of being put last by politicians who took an oath to put them first,” Patton told Fox News. “I am in Ocasio-Cortez’s district more than she is. She’s more concerned about conditions on the border than conditions in her own backyard.”
Patton continued: “This past week, I had to shut down a children’s day camp because dead rats were falling through the ceiling and hitting the ground, and falling on children’s desks so infested with maggots that they broke apart when they hit the ground — causing staffers to throw up. That’s what’s happening in New York City.”
For the record, AOC — who represents the Bronx and Queens — does not represent the East Harlem district where the rat-infested summer camp is located.
East Harlem is by represented by Democrat Adriano Espaillat, who has been in Congress since 2017. Espaillat has been equally useless for his district since taking office.
Like Ocasio Cortez, Congressman Espaillat champions illegal immigration, open borders, and has repeatedly called for the impeachment of President Trump.
Adriano Espaillat is a former illegal alien himself. He eventually became a U.S. citizen in his late-20s.
Rather than address the horrific housing situation, crime, and poverty in his Harlem district, Adriano Espaillat spends all his time showboating to raise his national profile. Just this week, Espaillat renewed his calls to impeach President Trump.
“As an original co-sponsor of the first resolution calling for the impeachment of Donald J. Trump, I reiterate my support for holding him accountable as he has obstructed justice, violated the Constitution, and undermined the independence of our nation’s judicial system,” Espaillat said in a statement.
Meanwhile, what are Adriano Espaillat and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez doing to benefit the New Yorkers who voted them into office? Apparently, nothing.
