Someone with access to the Illinois Republican County Chairman’s Association (IRCCA) Facebook page shared a Hollywood-style meme depicting four freshmen congresswomen as “The Jihad Squad,” which was then quickly deleted.
“Political jihad is their game,” read a tagline on the movie-poster meme that looks to have been based on a 2013 film, “Gangster Squad.” “If you don’t agree with their socialist ideology you’re racist,” read a second tagline.
The IRCCA’s mistaken post was deleted but the meme, originally created by an unknown miscreant, lives on …

Following a social media outcry and protests by Democrats, Republican officials in the state condemned the meme and apologized for the IRCCA post.
“I strongly condemn evoking race or religion as the basis for political disagreement,” said Illinois GOP Chairman Tim Schneider in a Sunday statement. “The recent social media post coming from the IRCCA does not reflect my values or the Illinois Republican Party’s values. Bigoted rhetoric greatly distracts from legitimate and important policy debates and further divides our nation.”
“The post perpetuates the recent attacks by President Trump, promoting lies and racism to alienate immigrants, women, and people of color. This language of hatred and bigotry has no room in our society and has dangerous consequences,” charged a spokesperson for the Cook County Democratic Party.
Mark Shaw, president of the IRCCA, on Sunday denied knowledge of the post till it was brought to his attention and said he was sorry if it offended anyone.
His full statement, as posted to the GOP group’s Facebook page reads:
A couple of days ago, an image which was not authorized by me was posted on the Facebook page of the Illinois Republican County Chairmen’s Association (“RCCA”). I condemn this unauthorized posting and it has been deleted. I am sorry if anyone who saw the image was offended by the contents.
This unauthorized posting is an unfortunate distraction from the serious debate surrounding the policies advocated by these four socialist members of the United States House of Representatives of which I strongly disagree. Republican opposition to their proposed “Green New Deal”, elimination of all private health insurance, open borders and anti-Semitic posturing has nothing to do with these Representative’s races or religion.
The RCCA has a multi-stage, approval process for all social media posts on any of the RCCA’s social media properties. Nevertheless, the RCCA’s internal review process is being re-evaluated to insure that any content posted in the future represents the “big-tent” nature of the Republican Party.

We aren’t talking enough about this dumb picture is from the 2013 film Gangster Squad, making the Illinois Republican County Chairman’s Association the only group of human beings to think about that film in the past six years. pic.twitter.com/QKEpRYWWHB

So the unhinged left has a new outrage of the day, and social media is on fire with calls for someone’s head …
Holy fk. Every single person involved with this should be fired, and banned from anything associated with politics for the rest of their lives. They should also be added to the FBI watchlist for domestic terrorism. This is a whole new level of vile racism.
