The National Border Patrol Council joined Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer in condemning Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over her remarks on U.S. detention facilities.

Art Del Cueto, who serves on the National Border Patrol Council, called out the congresswoman’s comments as a “slap in the face” after she accused the U.S. of “running concentration camps at the southern border” while Hemmer said she “owes every Jew on the planet an apology.”

Hemmer noted on “America’s Newsroom” Tuesday that while Ocasio-Cortez has plenty to say about the situation at the border, she has actually never been there to see things firsthand.

“I don’t think she’s been to the border yet,” Hemmer said. “Has she?”

“I haven’t seen her down here in Arizona, I can tell you that,” he replied.

“When any individual make that reference, it just loses all interest in me. It’s disgusting to compare concentration camps to what the men and women are doing here protecting our country,” Del Cueto added, reacting to Ocasio-Cortez’s false claims that the U.S. is operating “concentration camps” on the southern border as she compared the situation to the Holocaust.

“The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border, and that is exactly what they are,” Ocasio-Cortez said Monday in a video posted on Instagram.

“I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that we should not — that ‘Never Again’ means something,” she said. “And the fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”

Del Cueto slammed the Democrat and others who have falsely portrayed the work of Border Patrol as something barbaric.

“In my eyes, honestly, you lose credibility. I’ve had it up to here with all these individuals constantly trying to compare concentration camps to what we’re doing,” he said.

“She used the extermination of six million people,” Hemmer said. “She used the phrase who are concerned enough with humanity to say ‘Never Again’ means something.”

“Has she ever been to Yad Vashem in Jerusalem or Auschwitz-Birkenau in southern Poland or Dachau in Germany?” the Fox News anchor asked.

“‘Never Again’ is the phrase that Jews all over the world use to make sure that the extermination between 1939 and 1945 never happens again, and she’s using concentration camps to describe what’s happening on the southern border,” he added. “How in the world is that acceptable? Does she not owe every Jew on this planet an apology?”

Del Cueto slammed the 29-year-old freshman Democrat, suggesting that people like her need to “crack open a history book” before spewing their nonsense.

“I think it’s disgusting to compare what the men and women do out on the border right now to that, and it is definitely a slap in the face to a lot of these individuals that have family members that actually went through concentration camps,” he said.

“I’ve said it many times,” he added. “Some of these people need to crack open a history book before they make some comments.”
