Rep. Adam Schiff blasted President Trump in remarks dripping with a glaring lack of self-awareness.
The California Democrat and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee declared there is “no ethical standard” and “no bar below which he will not go,” slamming the president for remarks he made during an ABC News interview.
When the Russians offered dirt on Clinton in 2016, the Trump campaign enthusiastically accepted.
Today, the President made it clear he would do it all over again, saying everyone does it.
No, they don’t.

Schiff spoke on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” and tweeted the video clip Thursday along with his comments about Trump, claiming the president’s remarks about considering accepting opposition research information on a political opponent from a foreign power amount to his admission that he knew his own actions could be deemed unethical but he would “do it again.”
Democrats and their minions in the liberal media were aghast at Trump’s comments, blind to the irony and lacking self-awareness just as Schiff while they ignored their own deeds.

“Plainly we’re going to have to spell it out crystal clear in the law that getting dirt from a foreign power is considered a prohibited contribution to a campaign,” Schiff told Maddow. “We can call it the Donald Trump Act if we need any further clarity.”
He went on to claim that Trump’s words can be seen as a signal to foreign powers who, like the Russians, will conclude that “as long as they intervene on Trump’s behalf, he’s too weak to ever call them out and he may even be grateful for it.”
In his tweet, Schiff pushed back on Trump’s comments that “everyone does it.”
“No, they don’t,” the lawmaker smugly declared. “Trump does nothing if not project his own lack of ethics onto others.”
Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino roasted Schiff on twitter with a scathing reminder of his own questionable actions.
“This guy is ON TAPE, speaking to a man he believes is a Russian insider, trying to gather damaging information about Donald Trump,” the Fox News contributor and host of “The Dan Bongino Show” tweeted, referring to a report last year that Schiff was pranked by Russian comedians.
This guy is ON TAPE, speaking to a man he believes is a Russian insider, trying to gather damaging information about Donald Trump. There’s no bigger fraud than shady Adam Schiff. You can tell Schiff is lying when his lips are moving. He’s a disgrace. https://t.co/0DRs7rvmTy

The comedians had revealed an audio recording of a discussion with Schiff about non-existent naked photos of Trump and a Russian model.
“Obviously we would welcome the chance to get copies of those recordings,” Schiff could be heard on the clip. “So we will try to work with the FBI to try to figure out how we can take copies of those… I’ll be in touch with the FBI about this, and we’ll make arrangements with your staff. I think it would be best to provide these materials to both our committee and the FBI. We’ll make arrangements between my staff and yours on how to facilitate that.”
And while his office insisted at the time that Schiff was not fooled by the pranksters, the audio speaks for itself.
Bongino clearly remembered the incident, even if the Democrat congressman had a shorter memory.
“There’s no bigger fraud than shady Adam Schiff,” Bongino’s tweet read. “You can tell Schiff is lying when his lips are moving. He’s a disgrace.”
