While you are getting checked by TSA, released illegal aliens fly with no legal ID, skip checkpoints

The Transportation Security Administration is allowing illegal immigrants to fly on commercial flights with no legal form of identity once they’re released from federal custody.

Those who have illegally entered the country and released by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Border Patrol are being allowed to use a court appearance notice as an acceptable form of identification to board flights, Fox News reported, citing the Washington Examiner.

But Americans better pony up one of the 15 required forms of ID if they expect to fly.

If that bothers you, take a deep breath before proceeding.

Not only are illegal immigrants being given preferential treatment when it comes to identification, they’re being escorted around airport security checkpoints, according to former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Transportation Oliver McGee.

That’s right, while your 11-year-old son or daughter, or 85-year-old grandmother may be subjected to intrusion TSA pat downs that violate intimate places, migrants who eschew our immigration laws are apparently being given a pass.

McGee appeared Friday on “Fox & Friends” to say the practice of accepting the court documents is “unacceptable for aviation safety and security.”

He then dropped somewhat of a bombshell.

“They are walking them around the checkpoint and directly on the plane, while you, Steve, and I are taking off our buckles and belts and suspenders, and shoes and socks, and are waiting in a long line to get past that same point,” McGee told co-host Steve Doocy.

“That’s not acceptable,” he insisted, going on to describe it as “a breach in the security protocol.”

Citing several Department of Homeland Security officials, The Examiner reported that for that last six months, the TSA “has been violating its own policy” to accommodate a flood of illegal aliens.

More than 200,000 migrants who arrived at the southern border as a family unit have been released since January because of a 2015 court ruling that bars ICE from holding families more than 20 days, the paper noted.

The process resulting in illegal aliens arriving at the airport is no better, as once they are released, ICE “wipes its hands clean,” according to The Examiner:

ICE often drops people off at bus stations, where nongovernmental organizations that have been alerted to the drop-offs send volunteers to help migrants make travel arrangements to join family members in other cities. The agency then wipes its hands clean following the releases. ICE would not comment on the legal precedent for undocumented immigrants boarding flights in the U.S.

So instead, those looking to depart the border via regional airports become TSA’s burden. If TSA chose to turn away people at airports it would apply more pressure to overwhelmed bus companies like Greyhound and local motels in border towns, complicating an already dire situation for localities struggling to care for this demographic.

Catholic Charities is one of the leading groups assisting the illegal aliens with their traveling arrangements.

Yet, we wonder why these folks are flocking to a southern border by the hundreds of thousands? Numbers expected to top 1 million in 2019 alone.
