Sean Hannity raged against the House Judiciary Committee’s upcoming hearings on Robert Mueller‘s investigation and blasted “washed-up” Watergate figure John Dean who will be testifying.

The Fox News host slammed the former Nixon White House counsel as a “far-left, extreme leftist CNN hack” during his monologue on “Hannity” Tuesday, while calling out House Democrats who are “clearly more interested in the political circus designed to smear the president all in advance of the 2020 election.”

Dean, currently a CNN contributor, is scheduled to appear on a June 10 panel before the House Judiciary Committee to testify on the Mueller report as committee chairman Jerrold Nadler leads efforts to discuss the special counsel’s findings amid relentless calls by Democrats to impeach President Trump.

The key Watergate figure pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice for his involvement in the Nixon administration  scandal in the 1970s, testifying before Congress decades ago amid calls for Nixon’s impeachment before he ultimately resigned.

“John Dean, the star and witness in Richard Nixon’s Watergate scandal,” Hannity said Tuesday. “That was 47 years ago. He has absolutely nothing, zero, to offer as it relates to the Mueller report, or frankly, any of the issues that are at hand here. Nothing. He has no expertise on Russian election hacking.”

Hannity noted Dean’s current CNN status and the fact that he has “no relevance” to the Mueller report or its findings.

“Dean, well, he now works for fake news CNN as a professional Trump hater, 24/7. Hate, rage, psychosis.,” the Fox News host said.

“So now Jerry Nadler figures, ‘Oh, nobody more perfect, let’s roll him out for yet another round of Trump-bashing, even though he has no relevance to the case.’ And by the way, if you’re like most Americans and you don’t watch fake news CNN or conspiracy TV MSNBC, here’s a small sample of the great insight, the great knowledge, the great objective analysis of Jerry Nadler’s star witness and what he will bring to Capitol Hill and the circus that he has thrown over there,” Hannity continued, airing video clips of Dean bashing Trump.

“Trump is showing the style. Trump is Nixon on steroids and stilts,” Dean said in various video clips. “If I had to channel a little Richard Nixon come I think he would tell this president he is going to far. This is the sort of stuff in a banana republic — this is what an autocrat does.”

Hannity doubled down on Nadler’s “partisan circus” and the choice to include Dean.

“So why would Jerry Nadler promote an obviously angry, washed-up far left, extreme leftist CNN hack to perform in front of his partisan circus?” he asked.

Hannity also blasted Rep. Adam Schiff who called Attorney General William Barr the “second most dangerous man in the country” on Tuesday.

“The most dangerous place in the country is being between the cowardly Schiff and either a microphone or a camera because he’s obsessed with seeing himself and hearing himself,” he said. “He has lied more than any other single member of congress which says a lot about him.”
