Did you ever wonder if the youngest-ever U.S. congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), has a love life, and if so, how did you picture her beau? Apparently, a lot of her fans are surprised to learn that her live-in boyfriend is a tall, very white, bearded red-head by the name of Riley Roberts. Not all of them seem appreciative.
There is a reality show/documentary on Netflix called “Knock Down the House” that mainly features AOC during her election campaign, but also looks at three other female, radical-left, non-career-politician Democrat candidates who were running in the 2018 mid-terms. Lefties are of course eating it up and getting warm, inspirational fuzzies from the movie to the point that some say they wished the film would go on and on beyond its one-and-a-half hour length.
After appearing in the documentary, Roberts’ visibility and fame is getting a boost. His small part in the film shows him, well … to be honest, he seems to be the kind of guy you would expect a young lefty “feminist” to be today–soft, submissive, apologetic. He may not be, but that is the vibe sent in the movie.
Is that what is drawing criticism on the web? Oh, of course not. Most folks bothering to comment on social media think Roberts is a wonderful example of what a modern man should be.

No, it’s his looks that rub some people the wrong way. He’s a white guy … a ginger white guy at that. Not really an exemplary fit in the brave new colorful world being envisioned by many of those driving the faithful into the future.

Decider reported … “Until now, Roberts has stayed out of the spotlight, but in Knock Down the House, we meet Roberts in the home he and Ocasio-Cortez shared in the Bronx in 2016. Roberts guiltily informs Ocasio-Cortez he finished off the last of the pint of AmeriCone Dream (Stephen Colbert’s flavor of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream) and Ocasio-Cortez laments she never even got a bit. Perhaps a peace offering, Roberts then makes tea in their electric kettle. It’s all very adorable, and will undoubtedly leave audiences wanting to know more about this cute, red-headed hipster.”
