Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is hiring conservative commentator Monica Crowley as assistant secretary for public affairs at the Treasury Department.
Crowley is a former member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a nonprofit foreign-policy think tank.
Donald Trump Jr. excitedly shared the news on Twitter, gushing: “Monica Crowley will be incredible in that role. Treasury is lucky to have her.”

Media Marginalize Crowley as a ‘Fox News Commentator’
Don Jr. echoed the sentiments of Richard Grenell, the Trump-appointed U.S. Ambassador to Germany, who called Crowley “brilliant, compassionate, and humble.”
Grenell tweeted: “Treasury is lucky to get her. And so are the American people.”
The liberal mainstream media have been slamming Crowley with hit pieces, trivializing her as merely a “former Fox News contributor.”
While it’s true that Crowley was a foreign-policy analyst for Fox News, she also has deep knowledge of politics from her past experience with the Council on Foreign Relations.
Moreover, Monica has a Ph.D. in international relations from Columbia University.
CNN Derailed Crowley from Joining Trump Administration Before
In 2016, Monica Crowley was set to join the Trump administration as a senior communications aide.
She abruptly withdrew after CNN claimed Crowley had plagiarized parts of her 2012 book and excerpts of her Ph.D. dissertation from 2000.
As BizPac Review reported in 2017, Crowley called the CNN story a “political hit job” designed to discourage anyone from joining the Trump administration.
“What happened to me is a despicable, straight-up political hit job. It’s been debunked. My editor has completely supported me and backed me up.
There is a very toxic and increasingly poisonous atmosphere of personal destruction in Washington and the media.”

Crowley: The Left Is Waging War on Trump and His Aides
Crowley said the media and the Democratic Party will stop at nothing to destroy President Trump and his administration
“They want to personally destroy him, destroy his presidency, and they would like to see the man in prison. They are out for blood. I hope that everyone around him understands that this is a war.”
CNN Slams Crowley for Plagiarism But Employs Serial Plagiarist
It’s ironic that CNN published a story about Monica Crowley’s alleged plagiarism, since it continues to employ and champion serial plagiarist Fareed Zakaria.
Zakaria is a Muslim who openly despises President Trump and has repeatedly called him a “bullsh** artist.”
Fareed Zakaria is an expert on bullsh*t: In 2012, he was suspended by Time magazine for plagiarizing five articles.
When he was first caught, Zakaria claimed the plagiarism was “an isolated incident.” Then, four other articles of his were uncovered with mass-plagiarisms of other journalists’ writings.
The 2012 plagiarism incident wasn’t the first time Fareed Zakaria was accused of stealing other people’s work. In 2009, Zakaria was accused of stealing material written by Atlantic magazine columnist Jeffrey Goldberg.
While hating on President Trump, Zakaria has fawned over failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, calling her an “incredibly impressive public figure.” Ha!
