House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dismissed claims by President Trump and asserted that there is “no taint” of anti-Semitism within the Democratic party.
Pelosi slammed President Trump for being “bankrupt of any ideas” in his accusations of an anti-Semitic agenda by the Democratic Party, staunchly defending her party and freshman congresswoman Ilhan Omar during an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.
“We have no taint of that in the Democratic Party, and just because they want to accuse somebody of that doesn’t mean … that we take that bait,” Pelosi said Tuesday in the interview from Dublin, Ireland.
“I don’t think that the congresswoman is anti-Semitic, I wouldn’t even put those two in the same category,” Pelosi said of Omar, who has come under fire for her many controversial comments about Israel, and the U.S. support of the nation.
“But she’s being accused of it,” Amanpour pressed.
“She’s being accused of it,” Pelosi said, noting that she “criticized the president for using film of 9/11 as a political tool. He was wrong to do that.”
The California Democrat was referring to a tweet by the president blasting Omar after comments at a CAIR meeting in California last month as she characterized the 9/11 terror attack on the United States as “some people did something.”
Trump’s tweet, declaring “WE WILL NEVER FORGET!” has been viewed over 10 million times and sparked hysteria from the left accusing the president of inciting violence against the freshman congresswoman who was accused of dismissing the terrorist attack that claimed nearly 3,000 American lives.
Pelosi demanded Trump take down his video post amid claims that Omar, a Somali refugee, is facing death threats.

“She’s been very disrespectful to this country,” Trump told a reporter in Omar’s home state of Minnesota on Monday. “She’s been very disrespectful, frankly, to Israel. She’s somebody that doesn’t really understand life. Real life. What it’s all about.”
“It’s unfortunate,” he added. “She’s got a way about her that’s very, very bad, I think, for our country. I think she’s extremely unpatriotic and extremely disrespectful to our country.”
Pelosi admitted to Amanpour that she has not even spoken to the freshman Democrat about her controversial comments.
“I haven’t had a chance to speak with her. I’m traveling, she’s traveling. But we couldn’t catch up with her. Until I talk to somebody, I don’t even know what was said,” Pelosi said. “But I do know what the President did was not right.”
Amanpour asked the Speaker about criticism of Democrats and claims of anti-Semitism by Trump and other Republicans, with the president tweeting this week that Pelosi has “lost all control” in Congress.
Before Nancy, who has lost all control of Congress and is getting nothing done, decides to defend her leader, Rep. Omar, she should look at the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel and ungrateful U.S. HATE statements Omar has made. She is out of control, except for her control of Nancy!

“I think the president is bankrupt of any ideas,” she said. “I don’t want to talk about the president here because I’m overseas. Come see me in Washington, D.C., and I’ll tell you what I think about that and the president,” Pelosi replied.
