President Donald Trump’s suggestion that the federal government may opt to relocate illegal immigrant detainees to Democrat-controlled sanctuary cities could be the single most brilliant idea he has ever floated.
Not only has the proposal unwittingly prompted many Democratic mayors to go on the record to confirm that they openly welcome illegal immigrants in America, the idea has even brought around Cher, an unhinged liberal zealot if ever there was one.
Not only did the 72-year-old pop singer respond with what may be her first sensible tweet ever, she even dropped her standard ALL CAP presentation — well, at least for a moment anyway.
“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+??Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS) How Can it Take Care Of More,” tweeted Cher.

Skid Row in Los Angeles is overrun by a literal army of homeless people living in tents, and the greater L.A. area is already home to over 1 million illegal immigrants.
The city has utterly failed in managing what amounts to a disgraceful situation and the liberal diva asked a very reasonable question Republicans have been asking for years.
It was all enough for President Trump’s eldest son and namesake, Donald Trump Jr., to take to Instagram to welcome Cher to the GOP… and call her out for her hypocrisy.
“Welcome to the Republican Party Cher!!! ? These Hollywood liberals have some balls. They advocate for these insane leftist policies and open borders when they can stick the burden on you, on your towns, your schools, and your hospitals but if it starts to effect them all of a sudden they’re not so thrilled at the inflow of illegals,” he said.
“What hypocrisy. Remember Libs you wanted them. We [offer] to give them all to you. What’s the issue?”
Political commentator and columnist Michael Knowles also commented on Cher becoming a “Republican.”
I'll never forget where I was and what I was doing the moment @Cher became a Republican. https://t.co/eAA8JOkAFK

Writer and entrepreneur Pardes Seleh tweeted: “[L]ooks like cher has been redpilled.”

Robert O’Neill, the former Navy SEAL who said he fired the fatal shots that killed Osama bin Laden also weighed in on the fun: “Welcome to the dark side, Cher.”

But the brilliance of Trump’s plan cannot be overstated when you have Democratic presidential candidates like Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., echoing the president’s talking points on illegal immigration.
Booker appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” to say that releasing detainees into the sanctuary cities will “make us less safe.”

The reaction online suggests this may be a seminal moment in American politics, the day Cher joined the MAGA parade.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:

Wow Trump made Cher into a Republican https://t.co/ejsxd3awq4

You were for illegal immigrants in everyone else’s neighborhoods but now you have changed your mind when it is your backyard?
— Carmine Sabia (@CarmineSabia) April 14, 2019
Wow, sounds like a great reason to build the wall and stop another million illegal aliens from coming to the USA this year!

I’m sure all of the bleeding heart liberals and super lefties in Hollywood will take them in and give them work on their sets, and in their movies and tv shows …right? pic.twitter.com/zwY8Iq35ni

Hi, Cher.
In all seriousness, I know that you detest Donald Trump…and that’s your choice.
But this tweet from you is so good & so true.
All Trump supporters are trying to say is that we need to take care of our people.
Take care of our poor & suffering.

I guess you used all 280 characters so you didnt have enough space to add #MAGA #KAG at the end of your tweet.

Oooooh, so now that it directly affects you, you change your mind? How selfishly convenient.
Do you ever like….I don’t know, realize your own elitist brand of hypocritical douchbaggery? Or do you guys just go around patting each other on the back and saying “Orange Man Bad?”
