Weeks after Sen. Cory Booker admitted he’s “got a boo,” actress Rosario Dawson confirmed that they are dating.
The 39-year-old political activist and film and television star gushed about her relationship with the New Jersey Democrat when asked about the dating rumors by TMZ on Thursday.
“Yeah. Yes, very much so,” Dawson replied when she was asked if it was true she and the 49-year-old Booker were dating.
Their relationship, she added, was going, “so far, so wonderful,” and she said they try to “spend some time together when we can,” admitting they are both “very busy.”
“He’s an amazing human being,” she said, expressing her full support of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.
Booker has not publicly confirmed he is dating the “Men in Black II” and “Rent” actress, but admitted in February that he was seeing someone “really special.”
“Before I declared for president, I’m dating someone that’s really special to me,” the former Newark, New Jersey mayor said on the radio show “The Breakfast Club” last month. “I got a boo.”
Dawson told TMZ she is often in Washington, D.C. where the offices are located for Voto Latino, a nonpartisan organization she co-founded that encourages Latinos to get politically involved. The New York-born actress of Puerto Rican and Cuban ancestry campaigned with Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2016 election season but threw her support behind Green Party candidate Jill Stein when the Vermont senator did not score the Democratic nomination.
She has reportedly been dating the New Jersey Democrat, who infamously declared an “I am Spartacus” moment during the contentious hearings to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, since December 2018 and the two have frequently been seen together.
During his radio show interview, Booker – who has never been married – said that “this is the most uncomfortable part of this interview” when asked about marrying the then-mystery woman he was dating, though he did admit she would make a great first lady.
When asked by TMZ on Thursday, Dawson replied that she had “no idea” if Booker would be asking her to marry him.
“I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much,” she said.
Confirmation of their relationship lit up social media as Twitter users reacted to the news while wondering if this would quell rumors that Booker is gay.

Lol. Hired beard. Not a person on this planet thinks Booker is hetero.

No it isn’t in play, if she wants to be first lady she will need to find someone better than bald spartacus.

Well, since Cory booker will never be president, none of this is relevant.

Don’t bring that kind of hopeful optimism into the sinkhole of despair that is the Internet.
