The 2020 presidential election campaigns are off to quite a start as candidates on the left seem to outdo each other in raising eyebrows.
Now Sen. Bernie Sanders has hired a deputy national press secretary who will not even be able to vote for her boss in 2020.

The campaign announced Wednesday that the leftist activist, Belen Sisa, will be working for Sanders despite her status as an illegal immigrant. A “Dreamer” under former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, Sisa is currently protected from deportation and has said she came to the U.S. illegally at age six with her parents from Argentina.
“This is really emotional for me. I can’t help but think of 18-year-old Belén, who felt hopeless and powerless to the anti-immigrant attacks and policies that were holding her back from her dreams,” the millennial wrote on a Facebook page, according to The Hill. “I can’t help but think of the generations of sacrifice my family has had to do for me to get here. Never in our wildest dreams did we think I’d be making moves like these.”
But her undocumented status has not kept Sisa in the shadows, as she risked deportation when she was arrested after participating in a sit-in outside out Sen. Chuck Schumer’s office in December 2017.
If you’re reading this, I have been arrested in Washington, D.C. and will refuse to leave jail until @SenSchumer and @RepCurbelo publicly confirm that they have whipped the votes to block any spending bill that does not include a Clean Dream Act. #NoDreamNoDeal

Just weeks before that, she was arrested for a protest outside the Senate Hart Office Building.
Dear Friends and Movement Family,
If you are reading this, I have been arrested and am in jail for standing up to Congress and the Trump administration in Washington, D.C. demanding that they pass a Clean #DreamActNow before the end of this year. pic.twitter.com/CdRRKrUgX4

The protests were over immigration reform and demands for Congress to pass the DREAM Act, permanently legalizing the status of DACA children.
We went to DC jail for for 6 days in result of calling out our political leaders a month ago… today we are seeing the fruits of our labor and sacrifices #Dream7 #NoDreamNoDeal #DreamActNow https://t.co/IOjWsyeS7y

The DACA recipient had no words of thanks for President Trump in January after he offered a three-year extension for “Dreamers” in a new deal to Democrats in the hopes of securing more than $5 billion in funding for a wall along the southern U.S. border and ending the month-long government shutdown.
“I don’t know if the president is completely ignorant to history or if he has gone delusional to what happened a year ago when he ended the program himself,” Sisa told CNN at the time, accusing Trump of using “Dreamers” as “bargaining chips.”
The former Arizona State University student ignited a social media firestorm back in 2017 when she posted her tax forms on Facebook while announcing she was an “undocumented immigrant.”
‘I think I’m a pretty good citizen. Oh and there are MILLIONS just like me who pay into a system they will never receive anything from. Wanna tell me again how I should be deported, contribute nothing and only leech off this country while the 1% wealthiest people in this country steal from you everyday?” she blared.
Sisa’s been a Bernie supporter for some time and worked in Latino outreach for Sanders’ 2016 campaign as well as serving as a page to the Arizona delegation at the Democratic National Convention in 2016, according to the Washington Examiner.
Overall, the #Bern was felt tonight! #Goodnight sweet dreams ?????? @People4Bernie @Bernlennials @BernieSanders pic.twitter.com/caDWG9DfKa

Apparently Sisa’s history, and her foul-mouth, are not a concern for Sanders who must be okay with her speaking to the press as his 2020 campaign moves ahead. Her Trump derangement and classy language have been on full display on social media for a while, here is a sampling:
.@realDonaldTrump bro don’t celebrate your white supremacist agenda in the name of black, brown, and undocumented people.. we will not clap #StateOfTheUnion

@realDONALDTRUMP says he will make america great including separating families, creating terror in our neighborhoods, and killing our communities through border security and more raids #PermanentProtection

Twitter users were not happy with Sisa’s past or the fact that Sanders couldn’t bother to hire an American citizen.
This should p*** you off!
Sen. Bernie Sanders has made some progress toward his goal of making his 2020 staff less white and less male than his 2016 staff, hiring Belen Sisa, an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT from Argentina, as HIS DEPUTY NATIONAL PRESS SECRETARYhttps://t.co/oFdj8JxZCL
