Brazilian immigrant assaulted a man for wearing ‘MAGA’ hat at Mexican eatery, says she’s tired of being a victim

A Massachusetts woman is claiming she is the victim after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a MAGA-hat wearing man at a Mexican restaurant.

Upset with a patron at Casa Vallarta on Cape Cod for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, a 41-year-old immigrant allegedly yelled at the man and knocked the cap off his head, Boston 25 reported.

The man, who was later identified as 23-year-old Bryton Turner of Mashpee, told police he was minding his own business when Rosaine Santos began to yell at him for wearing the hat. Turner began to record what transpired on his phone.

“That’s the problem – the problem with American these days, people are just ignorant,” Turner said in the video after Santos was seen walking behind him and knocking the hat off.

Bartender Geo Macarao was asked by the station if the man did anything to provoke Santos, but he replied, “No, no he just walked in and ordered his food.”

The woman, who reportedly lives in Falmouth, told police when they arrived that Turner should not be allowed to dine at the Mexican eatery and noted President Trump’s promise to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. She even allegedly took another shot at Turner as the police escorted her out of the restaurant.

“I couldn’t imagine somebody just coming up and hitting them when there’s cops right here,” Macarao told Boston 25.

“She just tried to grab my hat in front of four officers, not smart,” Turner said.

The Brazilian immigrant offered a sort-of apology but claims that she is the victim in the incident as her behavior was provoked.

“I had a little bit to drink maybe that’s the reason that I couldn’t walk away but being discriminated for so many times in my life, I just had to stand up for myself,” she told Boston 25.

“He’s not a victim. I am the victim. I have been bullied, OK?” she argued.

Santos pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery, Cape Cod Times reported. She was released on her own recognizance and is set to return to court on March 20 for a pretrial hearing.

The incident is another in a string of recent reports largely ignored by the mainstream media, especially in the wake of the press frenzy over the hoax hate crime staged by “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett, which was inflamed by the media as it was initially believed the attackers wore MAGA hats.

A report out of Kansas days ago revealed that a Van’s store employee was fired after telling a 14-year-old customer “f*ck you” for wearing a MAGA hat. A 7-year-old boy in Texas was smeared online and verbally attacked in person, even being called “little Hitler” for running a hot chocolate stand aimed at raising money for the border wall. A couple wearing MAGA hats while shopping at Sam’s Club in Kentucky apparently triggered a man who pulled a gun on them.

And on the UC Berkeley campus, a violent leftist thug assaulted a recruiter for Turning Point USA.

Social media reaction to the Cape Cod restaurant assault seemed to be supportive of Turner and many called for President Trump’s supporters to stand up against the bullying.
