An exasperated Lou Dobbs vented about Republican lawmakers and how they have failed to support President Donald Trump.
The Fox Business Network host slammed the GOP leadership for not standing up to Democrats who have relentlessly dogged the president in a blatant “abuse of power” during a discussion with Rep. Andy Biggs on “Lou Dobbs Tonight” Thursday.
“At what point do you believe, or is there such a point, that the Republican Party will rise up and say, the hell with you, this stops and we mean now. Where is Mitch McConnell? Where is your minority leader? Is there anyone that has any kind of heart, any kind of soul left in the corporate-owned Republican Party?” Dobbs asked the Arizona congressman.
“We haven’t fought. Some of us have, but that’s the whole point of us being here,” Biggs admitted. “I don’t believe President Trump was elected to come along and perpetuate the status quo. I believe, like him, I was elected to be a disruptor of the status quo where we continue to allow people to blindly go along.”
The discussion followed reaction to Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff launching another investigation with a focus on Trump’s finances and personal life. The president tore into Schiff and the “Unlimited Presidential Harassment” in a tweetstorm on Thursday.

Dobbs noted that appropriators in the House-Senate conference committee on Homeland Security spending have come up with $1.3 billion of the $5.7 billion in funding Trump has requested for the border wall as the clock counts down to a Feb. 15 deadline to avoid another partial government shutdown.
“Now, you tell me why anyone, why would the president not tell everyone to just ‘Go to hell. Go back, forget it. End the pretense and fraud. You’re acting in bad faith, you’re insulting,'” Dobbs asked.
“What kind of nonsense is he going to be asked to put up with? Again, where are the voices of the Republicans on Capitol Hill? Do you guys all just simply represent the chamber of commerce? The business roundtable, the Koch brothers? Who the hell do you represent?” Dobbs exclaimed.
“You don’t raise your voices for integrity, for the working man and woman in this country, the middle class, who the hell do you represent? I mean that rhetorically to you, I know who you represent,” he told Biggs.
The GOP lawmaker acknowledged the proposed offer to Trump falls far short of the requested funds while Dobbs slammed it as “an insult.
“The president has not received the support he needs here. We don’t have the majority anymore because of that,” Biggs admitted.
“The president has given the Democrats and his own party the opportunity to show that he is not standing alone as a champion of the forgotten man and woman in this country” Dobbs concluded. “He is indeed standing all but alone. It is time for action, to even deal with these Lilliputians would be an insult to his office.”
On Thursday, Fox & Friends host, Brian Kilmeade suggested Trump turn the tables on Schiff and his endless probes. If Trump does decide to investigate Schiff (and as of Friday morning, he has more reason to) he might be doing it alone.
