Fox News host Sean Hannity blasted Utah Senator Mitt Romney for torching President Trump in a scathing op-ed, and said it’s “sad” that Romney is desperately pandering to the same liberal media that attacked him as a racist, sexist white supremacist when he ran for president in 2012.
“Let’s turn our attention just briefly to Mitt Romney,” Hannity said on his Fox News show. “He has not been sworn in as senator. And Romney is already launching a feckless attack against the president…for so-called character and leadership issues.”
Hannity pointed out that Mitt’s niece, RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, disavowed Romney’s op-ed.
“The RNC chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel, his niece, tweeted: “For an incoming Republican freshman senator to attack President Trump as their first act feeds into what the Democrats and the media want. It’s disappointing and unproductive.”
Hannity continued:
“Our friend, the great one Mark Levin, issued an even more dire warning, writing:”It’s clear Romney will be a destructive force in the Senate, playing to the liberal media, which will praise him, and seeking to create a path to the presidency.
I supported Mitt Romney [in 2012]. That’s the same media that brutalized him in 2012.
It’s sad that he has more interest in cozying to those people on the left who hated him than sticking up for protecting American citizens:Record low unemployment, American energy independence. Securing our borders, issues he claims to care about.
Democrats [continue to] pursue their radical-left agenda. In 90 days, you will know how left they are.
As BizPac Review reported, Romney fueled volcanic backlash from millions of Americans after trashing the leader of his own party. Trump supporters slammed Mittens as a jealous traitor.
President Trump said if Romney had attacked Barack Obama as viciously as he slammed him, Mitt would have won the 2012 election.
