Ivanka has proven she’s smart and polished, but watch the freakout when WaPo publishes her op-ed

The Washington Post got an earful from readers who blasted the paper after it published an op-ed by Ivanka Trump.

An op-ed from President Donald Trump’s daughter and White House senior adviser Ivanka Trump on Friday sent Washington Post readers into a meltdown, prompting a backlash against the newspaper for giving her a platform.

Trump’s op-ed focused on the administration “taking bold action to combat the evil of human trafficking,” including prosecuting traffickers, aiding victims and curtailing funding to nations that have not “made a significant effort to adequately identify and protect trafficking victims, punish the traffickers or prevent human trafficking.”

“The president’s directive is the latest in an administration-wide push — including diplomatic, financial, educational, intelligence and law enforcement efforts — to confront this evil,” the first daughter wrote, detailing the administration’s efforts “despite a deeply polarized political climate.”

Right on cue, liberals unloaded on the Washington Post and in personal attacks on Ivanka Trump – without any regard to the content of her piece or any care whatever about the good news that something is being done to combat human trafficking.”

By Saturday morning, the op-ed had more than 3,000 comments from readers, many scorching the paper owned by Amazon chief executive Jeff Bezos.

“To the Washington Post: How can you possibly justify printing this absurd piece of propaganda? Trump cares nothing about anyone other than himself and perhaps his family, who all are complicit in his web of lies, deceit and criminal behavior. It’s really a mafia family,” a reader with the name “Jimbo0628” said.

“WAPO, how could you provide a platform to this feckless cow?” another commented.

“Thank you WaPo for publishing this piece so your readers can provide direct feedback to Trumpworld’s alternative universe,” a reader with the name “Graybeardscientist” wrote. “It is a challenge to put so much contempt in a small space, but here goes: Ivanka- you and your family have debased and degraded our once great country for the purpose of your personal enrichment. You have endorsed and glorified every negative that my Mayflower family, right down to myself, has worked against for generations.”

“Please Wapo, l do not pay a subscription do get Trump bimbo’s opinions served on a silver platter!” someone named “Bienenstich” added.

The responses on Twitter were no less brutal.

But many other Twitter users found the left’s temper tantrums to be just another sign of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were greeted and posed for photos ahead of the gala on Friday as well.

Earlier in the day, Ivanka wowed with another great look as she headed to a meeting.
