Fox News host Sean Hannity and national security analyst Sebastian Gorka got into a heated exchange with liberal pundit Geraldo Rivera, who’s passionately championing the army of over 7,000 illegal migrants en route to the United States to demand entry.
“We won’t let them in — not this way,” Hannity said on his Fox News show. “We have a sovereignty and border issue here. We have laws.”
Hannity underscored the importance of proper vetting before anyone is allowed entry into the country. Geraldo replied, “Are you going to shoot them, Sean?”
Hannity responded: “No. They need to be stopped in Mexico. Are you going to just say ‘come on in’ and never vet them?…We can’t let people rush our borders and do nothing. That’s insanity.”
Sebastian Gorka — a military and intelligence analyst — chimed in: “This is really beneath you. Geraldo.”
An enraged Rivera spat back: “Don’t give me that beneath me stuff! Don’t give me that crap! Don’t you insult me!”
This is not the first time that Geraldo Rivera clashed with Hannity while discussing the media’s sudden obsession with the longstanding border crisis — which they largely ignored during Barack Obama‘s eight-year presidency.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Rivera yelled about children “being torn from their parents” under President Trump’s zero-tolerance policy — which is basically enforcement of longstanding federal immigration law stating that anyone who illegally crosses the U.S. border will be prosecuted.
“We can’t condone this!” Geraldo screamed, even though he blithely ignored similar incidents during Obama’s tenure.
Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch responded to Geraldo’s hysterics by saying the border crisis has been a problem for decades, but liberals said nothing until now so they could hijack the issue to attack President Trump with it.
“The demagoguery and virtue-posturing are repulsive,” Farrell said. “This has been a problem that has been in existence for decades. The fact that the president wishes to enforce the law shouldn’t shock anyone.”
Instead of crying crocodile tears over an army of illegal migrants, perhaps Geraldo should worry about his own family. In May 2018, Geraldo Rivera’s son, Cruz Rivera, was arrested after allegedly beating up his ex-girlfriend when she dumped him.
Cruz Rivera fathered three children with different women during his nine-year relationship with his ex-girlfriend.
Cruz was charged with assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and aggravated harassment, the NY Daily News reported.
Rivera responded by saying he’s “not angry with his son and supports him 100%.” Great “family values,” Geraldo!
