More often than not, President Donald Trump is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t, whether it’s offering a message of condolence after the passing of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., or coloring in a coloring book.
While in Ohio last week, the president and first lady Melania Trump paid a visit to the neonatal intensive care unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where children born drug-dependent receive specialized treatment.
The photo above would have led the coverage had this been the previous first couple.
Instead, it was a photo snapped of Trump joining in with some children coloring at a table, and as endearing as the moment is, deranged liberals and other Trump haters launched into a full-on attack.
The children were coloring images of the American flag and on his flag, Trump randomly colored a red stripe and a blue stripe, leaving a couple of stripes between blank.
While it’s easy to image CNN devoting wall-to-wall coverage of this, with an army of panelists analyzing just what this meant, Trump haters with Russia on the brain had their own theory.
Sadly, Twitter lit up with nasty, mean spirited responses to the president interacting with and showing empathy for children who have endured so much, with claims he was coloring a Russian flag leading the way.
Then again, there’s a reason why the rabid opposition to Trump is often described as “derangement.”
