MSNBC guest ramps up the rhetoric, warns armed teachers might start shooting minority students

Citing the prerequisite anonymous sources, the media is reporting that Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is considering a proposal that would let states use federal funds for guns and gun training.

Which means, according to MSNBC, that it’s only a matter of time before teachers turn those guns on minority students — this coming from the same folks who insist cops are hunting down young black men on the streets of America.

MSNBC contributor Yamiche Alcindor made the preposterous assertion in response to the reports that the Education Department is receptive to the idea of grants being used to buy guns and train teachers.

“There are some people I have talked to, some advocates, who are very worried about the racial impacts that this will have,” Alcindor declared in an appearance Thursday on the network. “If you start arming teachers, you look at the statistics and say there are black and brown students who are being disciplined more than their white counterparts, you could then start seeing statistics where potentially black students are getting shot or in accidents when their teachers are trying to shoot.”

In effect, the White House correspondent for PBS NewsHour is saying when minority students misbehave in class, armed teachers may pull their piece and start popping off rounds.

“The NAACP and other advocacy groups say, not only are we looking at this as an issue issue, but it’s also the idea that racially it’s going to be a problem,” she added.

This view was taken seriously on MSNBC, eliciting not a single fuhgettaboutit from the rest of the panel sitting there like lemmings.

Who knew liberals had so little faith in America’s teachers?

You would never guess as much given how the Democrat Party happily accepts tens of millions of dollars in contributions from teacher unions. Perhaps the party should reject this money, given the alleged propensity for teachers to use minority students for target practice.
