‘The Secret Service will physically remove him’: Lawrence O’Donnell predicts the end of Trump

MSNBC’ Lawrence O’Donnell appeared on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” this week and was asked “how will the Trump era end, or will it?”

O’Donnell didn’t disappoint Maher’s liberal audience with his answer, going so far as to suggest that the Secret Service may have to drag President Donald Trump kicking and screaming from the Oval Office.

Saying he gave up on predicting political races, O’Donnell proceeded to suggest that Sen. Elizabeth Warren will beat Trump in 2020.

“So you think if he loses the election he will just greet her at the door on January 20th?” asked Maher.

“When the clock strikes 12, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will administer the oath of office to her, no matter where it is — he doesn’t have to show up, he doesn’t have to concede,” O’Donnell said. “The second she takes the oath she’s the president, he isn’t any longer. The Secret Service will physically remove him from the building if he’s still there.”

The sad thing about O’Donnell’s politically driven fantasy is that he’s not alone.

A woman’s studies professor at the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY), Julie Novkov, declared last year that Trump’s supporters will spark a civil war to keep him in office, even if he serves two terms, according to the Washington Times.

“Even if he makes it through two terms, they will vociferously demand that he be permitted a third,” Movkov insisted.

And these political zealots are held up as respected members of society?

“I believe that Trumpers — the core supporters Trump has bound to himself through his consistent and persistent messaging — will not accept as legitimate any means through which he departs from the presidency,” Novkov wrote in an article last year for New Political Science.

The chairwoman of the political science department at SUNY called the president’s supporters “overt racists” who are full of “white racial resentment,” and said they will “provoke violence” when he leaves office.
