Maxine Waters takes to the pulpit, says she believes she’s been sent by God to stop Trump

So much for the left’s insistence on the separation of church and state.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif, took to the pulpit Sunday to declare that she has been sent by God to stop President Donald Trump.

Comforted by the knowledge that she faces little accountability for her words and actions, the batty lawmaker attacked Trump with misleading half-truths, telling the parish at the First AME Church in Los Angeles that God sent her to take him on.

“We never dreamed there would be someone in the White House who was divisive, who could not tell the truth and who was intent on not making America great again, but taking America down,” Waters said.

You’d be forgiven if, for a split second, you thought she was speaking about Barack Obama.

But no, she was getting her Trump Derangement Syndrome on in the House of God.

“You’ve gotta know that I’m here to do the work that I was sent to do, and as pastor said to me when I came in this morning, when God sends you to do something, you just do it!” the Democrat declared.

The occupants of the church’s pews ate it up like it was candy.

A single response online summed things up well.

“I suppose the voices in her head told her this? Hey @MaxineWaters that voice you’re hearing? Yeah, it’s not GOD,” a social media user tweeted.

As for the lack of accountability, in an interview with John Harwood at CNBC’s Capital Exchange event Wednesday, the California Democrat played the prerequisite race card in responding to Trump’s criticism of her, and continued her use of reckless rhetoric in calling for people to take to the streets to oppose the president, the Washington Examiner reported.

“I think he’s dangerous,” Waters said of Trump. “I don’t know why people take it. I think Americans should be out in the streets screaming to the top of their voice. Do something. Make something happen.”

She added that Trump “does not deserve to be the president of the United States.”

This coming after her irresponsible call for people to harass and intimidate Trump administration officials wherever they may encounter them.

In the same interview, Water insisted, “The Democratic Party is not a socialist party.”

…which may be surest sign yet that it is indeed a socialist party!
