Seriously? Michelle Obama’s new voter registration initiative starts with one glaring red flag

Former first lady Michelle Obama reportedly angered liberals and earned the mockery of conservatives by launching a “strictly nonpartisan” voter registration campaign where she and other “celebrities” will urge Americans to vote in the November 2018 midterm elections.

The campaign, called “When We All Vote,” launches today. The initiative will feature Mrs. Obama in a series of public service announcements, rallies, and other live events across the country, Politico reported. The program has a budget of $8 million.

Among the celebrities on the “When We All Vote” roster are actor Tom Hanks, country stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda (an avowed Trump-hater), NBA star Chris Paul, and singer Janelle Monae.

The campaign’s board of directors is stacked with longtime cronies of former president Barack Obama. Among them is Valerie Jarrett, whose daughter Laura Jarrett works at CNN and covered the Obama DOJ during the time her mom was a senior adviser to Obama.

CNN hired Laura Jarrett in September 2016 (two months before the 2016 presidential election) to cover the Obama Justice Department, even though she had no experience in journalism.

Democrats are reportedly upset that Michelle Obama is taking a “nonpartisan” approach to the voter registration drive.

Somehow they think that her celebrity status will translate into votes at the polls, even though Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign proved that celebs wield far less power over their fans than liberals believe.

Conservatives don’t buy the “nonpartisan” spin at all.

Hillary had countless high-profile celebs like LeBron James, Madonna, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga supporting her and urging their combined massive fan following to vote for her.

While fans eagerly retweeted, liked, and shared pro-Hillary social media posts, many apparently stayed home on Election Day. As the adage goes: You can lead a donkey to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Michelle Obama, who’s extremely popular among Democrats, has kept a fairly low profile since President Trump took office.

Meanwhile, her husband has been cashing huge paychecks by giving speeches around the world. Africans reacted by triumphantly declaring that Obama is “finally home” when he visited Kenya this week.

Perhaps Mrs. Obama’s “nonpartisan” campaign effort is related to the $50 million multi-year contract she and her husband signed with Netflix to produce and write documentaries and shows.

After all, Republicans and Libertarians watch Netflix programming too. And slashing your audience in half before your project launches is a surefire way to guarantee you won’t get more lucrative offers.

Meanwhile, here’s what Mrs. Obama did last weekend.

Here’s a flashback to a hair-raising PSA Mrs. Obama made in 2015 (it never gets old). It made many viewers want to curl up and dye.
