President Trump slammed the anti-ICE protester who climbed the Statue of Liberty to protest longstanding federal immigration law as a “clown” and praised the police officers who risked their lives to apprehend her.
“You saw that clown yesterday on the Statue of Liberty?” Trump said at a campaign rally in Montana on July 5. “I wouldn’t have done it. I would have said, ‘Let’s get some nets. We’ll wait until she [gets tired and comes down on her own].'”
Trump echoed the sentiments of millions of Americans, who thought law enforcement should have let Congolese immigrant Therese Patricia Okoumou stay on the Statue of Liberty until she got hungry, tired, or bored after her failed publicity stunt. Fortunately, no police were hurt climbing 100 feet off the ground to apprehend her.
President Trump then praised law enforcement for their bravery. “You see those guys?” Trump said. “The bravery of doing that — what a group!”
As BizPac Review has reported, Therese Okoumou (who goes by her middle name, Patricia) scaled the Statue of Liberty on the Fourth of July to protest decades-long immigration policy.

Okoumou, who was born in the Congo, immigrated to the United States 10 years and is a naturalized citizen. She’s a personal trainer and virulent Trump-hater who participates in anti-Trump protests every week. It’s unclear who’s paying her while she protests.
In 2017, Okoumou was charged with misdemeanor assault for injuring a cop while resisting arrest during a protest. She has a history of filing unsuccessful race-discrimination lawsuits.
Despite the fact that her trespassing on the Statue of Liberty was caught on video, Okoumou pled not guilty to misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct, the AP reported. Okoumou faces up to six months in jail for each charge.
Liberty Island had to evacuate 4,500 tourists on the Fourth of July thanks to Okoumou and her motley crew of fellow protesters, who want to “abolish ICE.”

After she was released without bail on July 5, a defiant and unrepentant Therese Okoumou held a press conference outside a Manhattan courthouse. Okoumou raised her fist and blew kisses at fellow anti-ICE protesters who had gathered to cheer her on.
Okoumou said she climbed the Statue of Liberty to protest the separation of children from their illegal-alien parents — something she apparently approved of when Barack Obama did it for eight years during his two-term presidency.
“When they go low, we go high. And I went as high as I could,” Okoumou said while sporting a T-shirt that read “White Supremacy is Terrorism.”
Many Americans wondered why Okoumou doesn’t just leave the country if she hates President Trump so much and thinks the United States is so racist.
Meanwhile, there’s no chance ICE will be abolished because of the countless crucial duties it performs to prevent terrorism, stem human trafficking, and arrest child molesters and violent MS-13 gang members.

While Therese Okoumou is protesting the United States, here’s what’s happening in her homeland.
What about the immigrant from Congo climbing the Statue of Liberty on the 4Th of July to lecture America? She comes from a hell hole where 8 out of 10 live in extreme poverty? She should fix that dump, America is just fine! pic.twitter.com/pnrCPOrsdP
