Trump celebrates one ‘big Trump-hater’s’ defeat with scorching burn, after night of ‘Dems in turmoil’

President Donald Trump took to social media late Tuesday to comment on election results, calling it a “big night” and noting that Democrats are “in turmoil,” using the occasion to advocate for the safety of Americans while touting his get tough stance on illegal immigration.

“The Democrats are in Turmoil! Open Borders and unchecked Crime a certain way to lose elections. Republicans are for Strong Borders, NO Crime! A BIG NIGHT!” tweeted the president.

The president also celebrated virulent anti-Trump Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., losing his primary to an upstart progressive left activist.

“Wow! Big Trump Hater Congressman Joe Crowley, who many expected was going to take Nancy Pelosi’s place, just LOST his primary election,” he said. “In other words, he’s out! That is a big one that nobody saw happening. Perhaps he should have been nicer, and more respectful, to his President!”

Crowley, 56, was the fourth ranked Democrat in the House and possible replacement for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, no spring chicken at the ripe old age of 78.

While this is New York, in addition to the opposition losing a ranking member of leadership, another win for Trump and his fellow Republicans is that Democrats are now openly electing socialists.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old bartender and member of Bernie’s Army of socialist supporters, crushed the incumbent Democrat, receiving 58 percent of the vote, compared to Crowley’s 42 percent.

Here’s a GIF of the moment Ocasio-Cortez realized she just defeated one of Pelosi’s top lieutenants:

Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, ran on a platform that called “for housing as a human right, fighting climate change, criminal justice reform, immigration justice, abolishing ICE, a federal jobs guarantee, and Medicare-for-all,” Complex reported.

Peter Roff, a former senior political writer for UPI and former contributing editor for opinion at U.S. News and World Report, suggested in an op-ed run by Fox News that this result “suggests internal divisions among Democrats are more serious than people might think.”

He also said this division makes is “less likely that a big, blue wave is coming that will sweep Democrats to majority control in the House and Senate.”

“The only way this feels like it’s a ‘change election’ is on the Democratic side, where younger voters and women seemed determined to ‘Bernie-fy’ the party and have it stand for such things as rolling back the Trump tax cuts, free college for all, Medicare for all and – in essence – a transformation of the United States into a full-blown version of a European-style welfare state,” Roff wrote.

The political analyst cautioned that these “insurgents” could move the Democratic Party away from “the uniquely American spectrum where both parties agree to one degree or another that market forces should continue to play a role in setting economic policy.”

And while that may play in liberal urban centers, Americans in general are not likely to prescribe to a Marxist-inspired economy just yet — advantage Republican Party.
