Nikki Haley makes no apologies for her outspoken views on issues she deals with as U.N. Ambassador, but she is equally forthright on other matters in the Trump administration.
Haley momentarily appeared to break ranks on Sunday when she expressed her opinion on whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe should continue.
“No, not at all,” Haley said on CBS Sunday Morning, when she was asked if the investigation should be shut down. “I mean, anything that comes like this, it should play its part. It should go through the process.”
She qualified her comments about the Mueller probe, however, falling more in line with the president’s legal team and Trump himself, who has frequently called the investigation into alleged collusion between his election campaign and the Russian government, a “witch hunt.”
“But they need to do it quickly,” Haley said. “For the good of the country this investigation needs to happen quickly.”
The U.N. ambassador, who has not backed down from delivering President Trump’s strong message to members of the international organization since she stepped into her position last year, is “unfailingly loyal” to the president and his administration, according to CBS.

Asked by correspondent Rita Braver about Trump’s behavior, Haley made it clear it was basically no one’s business how she feels about her boss and if she has a problem, she can pick up the phone and call him, not blab to the press.
“What do you say to people who say, ‘Okay, maybe he’s done some things right, but his behavior is sometimes reprehensible?’” Braver asked the former South Carolina governor. “Do you ever think that?”
“First of all, he has his communication style, but you’re not hearing me defend that,” Haley replied.
“What I will tell you is, if there is anything that he communicates in a way that I’m uncomfortable with, I pick up the phone and call him,” she said. ” I don’t need to be public about that. I think that’s a private conversation that should happen when I feel it, and I think it’s one that he’s receptive to when I do.”
