Starting with ‘I don’t give a f**k,’ Roseanne tells Fallon how she really feels about people mad at her over Trump

Roseanne Barr has been basking in the glory of success after the relaunch of her 90’s sitcom Roseanne became an instant mega success.

The veteran comedian blew away her critics when millions of viewers turned in week after week to watch her Trump-loving, politically incorrect character take on today’s challenges. Despite killer ratings, Roseanne’s critics remain, and she let late night host Jimmy Fallon know what she thought about them.

“What was it, 20 million people or something?” Fallon asked while congratulating her on her show’s ratings.

Roseanne corrected him and boasted her 27 million viewers and admitted that she was “blown away” by its success.

“You know, I think people just identify with the family and they missed ’em. They missed the family,” Barr said about the Conners.

After a few more platitudes from Fallon he switched gears to Roseanne’s critics and noted that not everyone’s happy with the show due to her open Trump support.

Note the delicate dance.

“Oh, yeah. Some people are mad about that,” Roseanne said. “But, you know, I don’t give a f**k.”

Her blunt response gained applause and laughs from the audience before she continued.

“Well, everybody had to choose for themselves according to their own conscience who they thought was the lesser of two evils,” Barr elaborated. “You know, everybody chose that. So, I’m not gonna put anybody down who didn’t vote like me. This is America. It’s a free country. And, you know, when you weigh it all together, you know, I think — I just felt like we needed a whole new thing, all the way, bottom to top.”

This wasn’t Roseanne’s first late night f-bomb in defense of her Trump support. In March, she lit up Jimmy Kimmel’s segment when she told the Trump-hating host to “zip his f-ing lip.”

Roseanne airs on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm CST.
