Fmr FBI assistant director: no doubt Comey, Clapper, Brennan conspired against Trump – ‘I think he’s lost his mind, Jim Comey’

A former FBI official is convinced James Comey conspired with other top intelligence officials to take down President Donald Trump.

Former Asst. FBI Director James Kallstrom has “no doubt” that the fired FBI director worked with former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan against the president.

“I think he’s lost his mind, Jim Comey. I don’t understand what his act is,” Kallstrom told Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures” on Sunday speaking about Comey’s book tour and the “nonsense” he has been peddling that his leaked memos were not classified at the time and therefore do not constitute a “leak.”

“This conversation with the President of the United States is automatically classified. At least it was when I was in the government. Unless they’ve changed rules like that,” he said.

The 74-year Vietnam veteran and Trump supporter slammed the maneuvering against the president as “a three act play,” adding that “it’s not a comedy. It’s a tragedy.”

“Act one was to stop Mr. Trump from becoming the president of the United States. That failed,” Kallstrom continued. “Act two was to diminish his ability to manage the country, And even with that, he has done a fantastic job.”

Kallstrom denounced the “cabal” or conspiracy against Trump.

“Call it what you may,” he told Bartiromo, but the actions by the intelligence community is a “nasty, nasty Act two that is going on.”

“This cannot go on in the United States. This is third world country stuff,” he added.

A newly declassified report on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, which found no evidence of collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign, revealed that Clapper shared information with CNN on the infamous Steele dossier and may have even lied to Congress about it.

He was later hired by CNN later as a contributor.

The president tweeted his disgust with Clapper on Saturday.

That prompted a scathing attack by Brennan, who is now a senior national security and intelligence analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.

“I think it’s outrageous,” Kallstrom told Bartiromo. “Who are they (Clapper and Brennan) to be threatening the President of the United States?”

He acknowledged that the men are no longer employed by the government and, as private citizens, are free to speak their minds but the way they have conducted themselves is reproachful

“And I have no doubt that they’ve conspired with others including Jim Comey, and others unnamed at this point,” Kallstrom said.
