Former U.S. attorney calls Comey a criminal, says he ‘single-handedly’ destroyed reputation of FBI & wants charges!

The call for former FBI director James Comey to be prosecuted is growing.

In a heated Hannity show segment that discussed Comey’s questionable handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe, former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova blurted out that the former FBI chief is a “criminal” and should be “charged.”

diGenova, who is married to well-known attorney Victoria Toensing, went on to call Comey a “tortured and troubled man” and accused the “dirty cop” of “single-handedly” destroying the “integrity, reputation and legitimacy” of the FBI. He exlpained how Comey drove the “criminal process” for Gen. Flynn but ignored the same process for Clinton.

“It is inconceivable to me that anyone can now think that he performed a legitimate law enforcement function during the investigation of Hillary Clinton,” diGenova continued. “And it is quite obvious that the dossier was a fake document. That it was absolutely purposely used illegitimately by senior officials at the FBI and the Department of Justice. Mr. Comey lied repeatedly last night. And regrettably, he lied to the FISA Court. He encouraged others to lie to the FISA Court.

“And regrettably, I think Mr.Comey has to be charged with crimes for falsely presenting information to a FISA Court and for apparently lying regularly to Congress.”

Hannity then questioned constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz on diGenova’s assertion that Comey acted criminally, but Dershowitz threw the Fox host for a loop and scolded him for not disclosing a relationship with embattled attorney Michael Cohen.

diGenova’s claim, however, echos that of President Trump who last week called for the prosecution of James Comey.

Just when you think the media narrative couldn’t get any hotter, it does.
