Student activist David Hogg has been hogging up the spotlight ever since the mainstream media groomed him as their anti-Second Amendment spokesman.
In his latest anti-gun salvo, Hogg urged tourists to boycott Florida until guns are outlawed in his home state.
Hogg tweeted: “Let’s make a deal DO NOT come to Florida for spring break unless gun legislation is passed. These politions (sic) won’t listen to us so maybe the’ll listen to the billion dollar tourism industry in FL.”

Hogg then suggested tourists go to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico instead of Florida to give it a much-needed cash infusion. As if adults are going to take advice from a 17-year-old high school student on where to spend their hard-earned money and valuable time.
Better Idea: Spend your spring break in Puerto Rico, it's a beautiful place with amazing people. They could really use the economic support that the government has failed to provide. #SpringBreak2018 #SBinPurtoRico #itsspelled PUERTO RICO

Hogg — a high school senior who self-aggrandizingly describes himself on Twitter as a “film maker and entrepreneur” — has become a media darling because of his eagerness to condemn the Second Amendment in the wake of the shooting rampage at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day.
Nikolas Cruz, a 19-year-old orphan with a well-documented history of emotional problems, used an AR-15 to gun down his former schoolmates. He has since been charged with 17 counts of murder.
Many liberals paid lip service to supporting Hogg’s Florida boycott until anti-gun laws are passed. “I can’t speak for others but I will not be returning until meaningful gun control legislation is in place,” one Canadian woman tweeted.
I like many Canadians travel to Florida from time to time to escape our winter. I can’t speak for others but I will not be returning until meaningful gun control legislation is in place.

Another suggested that singers cancel their tour stops in Florida to show solidarity with anti-Second Amendment liberals.
i wonder if artists would cancel tour stops in FL

However, many others slammed David Hogg’s childish suggestion, saying a boycott will only hurt innocent people, like the bartenders and waitresses whose livelihoods depend on tourism.
Other Floridians said Hogg does not speak for them. “Listen Young Man, as a Fl resident and a tax payer, I think your a fool!” one man tweeted. “We welcome all people to Vacation in Florida and we welcome all members of the @NRA. When Junior here serves 20 yrs in The Military like I did maybe then he will be better educated on Guns. Your fame is over!

Still others pointed out that gun-control laws are not the answer. If the Broward Country Sheriff’s Office and the FBI had not ignored multiple credible tips alerting them that Nikolas Cruz was homicidal, mentally disturbed, and had repeatedly threatened to shoot up his school, this tragedy could have been avoided.
Hogg’s newfound activism is commendable, because we as a society would rather see teens get politically involved than eat Tide Pods for fun or post inane Snapchat videos all day, but there’s a limit to how seriously we should take the advice of a 17-year-old kid who has never held a real job or paid his own bills.
The state of California has the strictest gun-control laws in the United States, but that didn’t stop an illegal alien — a 7-time convicted felon who had been deported 5 times — from gunning down Kate Steinle in 2015, when Barack Obama was president.
That also didn’t stop illegal alien Luis Bracamontes from shooting two San Diego police officers to death in cold blood and then laughing about it. At trial, Bracamontes told the judge his only regret was that he didn’t kill more Americans.
“Only thing that I f—en regret is that I f—en killed two,” Bracamontes laughed. “[I wish I] had killed more of the motherf—ers!”
Similarly, the state of Illinois has among the toughest gun-control laws in the country. Yet that fails to stem the steady stream of daily/weekly gun murders in Chicago, which has had a Democratic mayor since 1931.
Listed below are the shootings that occurred in Chicago just this weekend (February 23-26). Where are the rallies and the nonstop media coverage of mourners grieving these senseless deaths?
Or is radio host Dana Loesch correct when she said the mainstream media “LOVE mass shootings” and provide wall-to-wall coverage of such tragedies because they are ratings cash cows?
“Crying white mothers are ratings gold!” Loesch said. “Notice I said ‘crying white mothers,’ because there are thousands of grieving black mothers in Chicago every weekend and you don’t see town halls for them, do you?”
